Doesn't look like door open to me. Looks like the turn gets tighter as Nicky proceeds. Looks like Pedrosa thought there was a door open but would of got pinched anyways. Human error it happens and its called racing. Sucks for both of them. Now lets get on with tomorrows race the future.....you know move ahead not look back in the past tomorrow's a new day. I'm looking forward to it. I'd like to see Nicky pull it off but I think its gonna be a Rossi victory. I just hope the title goes to a new champion. |

I'd like to see Rossi win it, so he can claim he was the ONLY champion of the 990cc era. He has my respect for proving beyond a shadow of a doubt that it's NOT the motorcycle that wins races... it's the RIDER! It'd also be a big, fat, flying finger to Honda (which wouldn't suck either). Rossi could probably win an AMA Superbike race on a Suzuki Burgmann 650. |

He has my respect I don't dislike him at all he the most talented GP rider...really ever. I disagree that it's only the rider... Its a team in that sport. You need the whole combination. Can a great rider make a bad bike look better?? Yes doesn't mean its a winning combination. I also disagree that Rossi would win a SuperBike Race on a Suzuki 650 even though it was said out of just trying to get the point across. |

Ya gotta wonder if Ducati is reconsidering their signing of Stoner after Bayliss performance this weekend, eh? |

Great diagram Blake. Pretty much substantiates everything I said. Tell you what. If I was on the blue model I wouldn't call that door ajar, I'd call it wide open. Never have I seen such fervour over a donkey in a horse race. Rocket |

Pedrosa made a common error for a former 250 racer. He over cooked the corner. Hayden's bad luck was to be in the way. |

Pedrosa horribly horribly miscalculated and blew it, happens to the best of em'. Amazing how Hayden kept is cool instead of giving Pedro the flogging he deserved. |

Dani made a mistake, and owned up to it Nicky took it like a professional. Dani's "mentor" didn't. Then we come to the here and now, and the fires have raged for 2 weeks. Now can we move along and just enjoy the most exciting final GP race in a long time since this one is for all of the marbles? Come on, no matter who you're rooting for this looks to be shaping up to be a GREAT race! |

Great slo-mo. You can see Pedrosa's front wheel hitting the back end of Hayden's front wheel. Thanks for proving me right Blake Without doubt an attempted Pedrosa overtake on Hayden. Rocket |

Ok, just seen it in clarity on TV. The side camera shows Pedrosa not as far up as the front wheel of Hayden. The front camera makes it look like Pedrosa is damn close to getting right alongside Hayden. Have it your way. You guys may well be right and I could be an idiot. I still think Pedrosa's move was intentional, whatever. Rocket |

Fancy Troy Bayliss winning, i love it when a guy like that comes along and makes the others look ordinary. Sinatra, are you and I the only ones with Foxtel on here or something, i thought this post would be on fire. (Message edited by Blake on October 29, 2006) |

Bayliss is no stranger to MotoGP. He did ride for a couple of seasons after winning his WSBK title to find MotoGP a bit discouraging. Troy dominated WSBK this year with an almost 100 point lead. There is no taking away from his talent, but you can not deny the talent of Nicky Hayden, Loris Capirossi, Dani Pedrosa, Marco Melandri, and of course Valentino Rossi. This was a great season. |

Valencia Spoiler ahead....beware. This must be the right thread for this. Pedrosa waved his leg several times indicating for Hayden to pass. Gave him more than enough room, and hung back (suspiciously for all Honda's) with Melandri and Stoner. You could see by the body language on the slow down lap that Hayden and Pedrosa have made up. Lovely to see. Hayden must be a nice bloke, just as we are told. Rocket |

Racing is a team sport. Sometimes you get to hit a home run, sometimes you have to hit a sacrifice fly. When it's late in the season and you have slim to non chances of winning the championship, you need to do everything in your power (but honorable) to help your team... which is what Dani did today.
