Thanks Glitch, that's a great video! Love the guys catching air. Makes my brain tired thinking of going that fast for so long. |

I've got a video/cd at home called (I think, if I remember right) One Man's Island. Pretty good stuff. That's one race I hope to see in person some day. |

There are a series of DVD's that are reviews of the recent TT's. I have the 2002 (I think that's the year) that has an extra chapter that is a helmet cam of an entire lap by one of the Brit's that often wins that thing. He put blow by blow commentary on top of the video. It is the most hair raising thing I've ever seen - 189 MPH on sweepers bordered on both sides by walls & buildings. Netflix has the DVD's. You have to rent these things. Those guys have huge balls. There is a story Egan did for CW back in the 80's when a couple of Americans went over with the race Harleys to try - they told Egan they hoped their bikes didn't make it over in time because they were terrified of running the thing! There is some old film from back when Dunlop was racing it that is really amazing since the bikes were nowhere as sophisticated as now. The old timer's really hung it out. |

That was an awesome video. Makes me want to do that. I love that these guys are accelerating/deaccelerating so hard they're fishtailing with soft race tires. I loved the air catching and wheelies too. |

In 2002, David Jefferies became the first rider to lap the TT Circuit in under 18 minutes and established a new outright lap record of 17 minutes 47 seconds, 127.29mph. "DJ was killed at the TT in 2003." I hadn't heard - I haven't been keeping up on the race scene the last few years like I used to. That's really terrible. He seemed like such such a nice guy from the interviews I'd seen and was a truly talented rider. RIP David. What happened? Keith |

Like the tribute said, at least DJ & guys like Joey Dunlop went out doing what they loved. Poor Hailwood survived all those years of bike & F1 auto racing to get whacked in a stupid automobile accident - how ironic. |

not at all -- the old nail is in need of a re-grooving, is all -- powder coar the frame, 12500 kit, paint for the impossible to paint tuber tank . . . . . all in prep for next year -- 130MPH club at bonneville is the aim . . . . . . \snow today in the City of Big SHoulders, so I'm not really missing any riding, I'm just missing riding, if that makes sense -- |

I have the DVD for the 2005 race. Those guys are crazy. McGuiness is nuts. He'll go over a rise and carry the front wheel for a hundred yards going 150 MPH. My friends and I are going to take a trip over there sometime soon to check it out. |
