I have one of the early Odie Pipes for an XB9... I hesitate to call it a special ops pipe, because I don't know what changes he made between mine and when he went into official "production". Its a fine pipe, just too loud for my old boring ears (and neighborhood). Cosmetically, because it was an early prototype, it was made from a stock pipe that had the chin nicely mashed (maybe hopping curbs or hard wheelie landings) before Odie ever got it. You can let this bug you if you want, but the reality is that it is very hard to notice short of crawling under the bike, and it otherwise just gives you a half inch more ground clearance up front (which seems the first place to hit). Odie checked it when he opened it up for his mod, it's all just cosmetic, there are no structural implications to the smallish dent. It also has a couple spots I noticed where there are pinhole leaks in the welds. You can see them after a few thousand miles if you pull the exhaust by the carbon buildup. You can ignore it, or I will be happy to run another weld bead over the right areas and repaint, no big deal either way. I have no idea what shipping would be for this thing, I am guessing it's not trivial. I'll take $200 and I will eat whatever the ups ground shipping ends up being. Pictures available on request. It's a nice pipe, and I love the nature of the sound, it's just louder then I prefer. I'm getting old and boring. |

Reep- I'll get with you tomorrow or Monday. I'll probably take it off your hands. See how things held up inside and then redo it and send it back out. Talk to you soon. Take care, Odie. |
