Personally, I don’t care what everybody else thinks about me or what I use or ride, but I do know my brother (Bigbadbuell) and he just wants some talking points when he and his buddies are shooting the breeze @ the garage/track/twisty road. Just BS shop talk. Some of us are taking this way to seriously. |

My favorite, is the coment about the lack of power.... So, in response, I will put the bike into a LOW RPM burnout..letting it stay between 1100, and 1500 RPMs....that usually settles THAT comment... The uninformed, and/or unexperienced, are actually really easy targets... Down here in Corpus, I really havent had any bashing of the brand, EXPCEPT a comment about no power... Like I said, its solved by a quick show of torque. Hey, it aitn a repli-racer, its only got 5 gears...so what, it is what it is...you either love it or hate it... Me, I love mine...its absolutely the most fun bike I have ever owned.. Chase |

Barker, you're barking up the wrong tree. You have no need to feel sorry for me dude, but that kind of a comment suggests you see me as some kind of loser. I am a garage owner and work my own tools in it, and I also like my bikes. Never been without one (or more) since I got my first about 30 years ago. I also happen to know a lot of people in the automotive industry who own motorcycles. Most are very smart mechanic types. That's the nature of the business we're in. To suggest because these people don't ride or maybe even don't like Buells, they have very little knowledge of bikes/engineering and/or Physics" is pretty dumb. I clarified my last post too. Rocket |

I get nothing but compliments and interested questions about my XB. In fact at times it can get a bit annoying. I like the entire VTWIN experience. Those who don't get it, don't get it. Their loss. |

Hey rocket man I also work in the automovtive feild. I actuclly build racing mustangs and most people am I around that have been talking junk about my bike are in the same area as me. They have no clue what they are talking about when they see my bike becasue they are close minded people like your self. Also form the comments you are leaving you are sounding more and more like a loser. bigbadbuell peace out |

I'm a Buell fan but I know it's limitations. I know that if I want to go 180 mph I should get a ZX-14 or a 'Busa. I know that the counter guy at the Yamaha dealer does 120 around a corner I find 90 comfortable. On a 600. ( That's not MY bikes fault, that's MY preference, I'm chicken. ) My Cyclone is not the end all of motorcycles, but I like it for what it really is, a quick bike that handles excellent & has torque to spare. A Ducati 999 is faster, handles about as good and is about as reliable. It also costs more & does not fit my fat bod as well as my Cyclone. Its all good. The proper response to bragging is "that's nice" not "you suck". |

You must be some real special mechanic dude. You know, building race Mustangs at such young years. At 22 I was chasing girls and gouching out on heady drugs, but then I grew up and built me one of these.........
Peace indeed. Peace by every freakin piece from the ground up. Where's yours? Rocket |

BBB, please refrain from the name calling in here, I know it was a thread about talking trash...BUT, not about slandering another member.... Second, before you go calling someone a retard, you should really make sure your spelling, and grammar are at least reasonable... Third, if chicks are digging on you because of your TOYS, that, my friend is nothing really to brag about...as ANY moron with money, can have someone make something that "chicks will dig".... I am not saying I dont like the attention I get from my bike, and any of the other bikes I have done...BUT, I dont deal with those chicks... And @ 21, you still have ALOT to learn.... SO, please lose the attitude, and overall chill out. If you wish to continue this offline, please do so...but, my PM will go to my work email, and you will have to wait for a reply until Monday. BUT, again, chill with the slander... Chase |

Lest you see fit to launch into excuse and finger pointing mode, I'd re-iterate the "there is never any justification" clause above. We need your enthusiasm here, just please avoid letting it spill over into consternation and personal flaming. Cool? |

I was riding my VFR the other day. It is a nice bike, nice power, smooth et all. Cruise at 80 all day long and not break a sweat. Having said that, I am selling the bike. It is simply boring to me. Unless I am hammering the hell out of it, there is simply nothing exciting about it. Now on the other hand, I can ride my XB and it is NEVER boring. I love the whole sound and feel of the VTWIN and the way that the XBS handles is just divine. Hence, I feel no need to defend that bike to anyone. Having said that, no one has ever ragged on it. In fact, I was sitting at a light the other day when a hard core HD type with ape hangers and the like pulls up. He immed. starts to gush over the Buell. Go figure! |

BBB, yeah, I know where you are coming from bud, so, like I said please chill out. I all but grew up in a speed shop, and am half owner of a shop in the process of getting off the groud NOW, so, I have NO free time... BTW, I am 26, and I am currently active duty while doing this.. Second, about the chicks part, as I said, I dont bother with those types.. Oh yeah, and my g/f, is 28, and and treats me with more respect, and shows me more attention/affection than I deserve. And no, not english class, BUT, if its not too much to ask, at least a close proximation of the spelling and grammar would be nice. So, all that being said, no one is trying to be mean to you, or cause a mess. I asked nicely, even with a please, to refrain from attitude we dont need here, and Blake, rightfully posted the USER'S AGREEMENT...that is not mess. Blake, anytime.... The lack of flaming and personal bickering is actually what makes this forum great. It's not about ego's it's about the bikes. |

Well, in that case, I believe we can consider this matter dropped, and either continue the thread in its original intention, OR, close it an forget about it... As long as everyone stays civil, thats what makes this message board great... Matt, I dont know what you are talking about, I have never been violent a day in my life...though I do kinda miss Deanna.. Lisa, Jess... oh...I need to make a trip back to VaBch just for the bar..... I have been holding myself back from chimming in on this thread, but yet here I am typing away. I usually don't post very much, I'm a lurker and use this board as a resource for information. I have always found what I was looking for (information wise) at this site and I hope it continues well into the future! The people here, or most of them, are GOOD people. I am not here to flame anyone. Everyone is entitled to their own opinion and I will not post my opinion on this thread because I don't care to throw fuel on the fire. I guess what I'm trying to say is this, bottom line..... Can"t we just get along? |

Look...it's BASIC economics 101.For the same 10k we pay out for a top of the line Buell/w 103hp we could have a GSXR1000/w 150hp.THAT is why we take so much razzing. We're SUCKERS! Don't get me wrong,i still enjoy my Buells,it's just that, someone has educated me on the global economy. If the Japanese make a superior machine/w superior power/handling isn't THAT the machine we should purchase? Forget affinity, these MACHINES are merely TOOLS for our bodies to sling around. What should be debated is each others personal level of skill.I'm preparing for the exhilaration i'll experience from my first Japanese road going motorcycle.I'm planning on an R1,which,against the same level operator on a Buell will kick butt! And with 200 less ccs'!!! I can hardly wait. |

And with 200 less ccs'!!! I can hardly wait. What is basic economics is that individuals do not have uniform tastes, wants, needs or desires. You value an insanely fast, uncomfortable bike. Good for you, you have many choices. I value a slower but to me, much more rewarding bike than an R1. Good for me. I can buy what I want, you can buy what you want. That is why capitalism rules. If this were a socialist/commie economic system, most of us would be very unhappy with our choices. |
