i know this is a longshot posting this here. it's located in houston TX and i'm asking $4000 for it. it's not that i need to sell it, but i am going to get a steel-tube framed buell, so if you've got one and want to trade, LET ME KNOW. OK, so here's the bad first: it's got a texas rebuilt title. i bought it with cosmetic damage from a guy who lowsided it and made a claim on his insurance, and as usual, the ins. co. salvaged it. it has almost 20,000 miles on the engine. the stock gauges got smashed up in the lowside. i still have the odometer, and it plugs in to read the mileage it had when i got it. the ODO on it now is accurate, and i've had it installed since i started riding it, you'll just have to take my word for it. Wink needless to say, it runs strong and is well sorted with no issues, no weird noises. it has some bondo in the tank on the left side, and a bolt for a shifter peg. now for the good: i've done my homework on modding SV's, and have even been nominated SV of the month a couple of times on the svrider.com forums. i ride it everyday, and am about to change the oil again, and also put a new set of spark plugs. i've done most all the modification and repair of this bike myself, except for machining the custom upper steering bearing, and rear wheel spacers. choice front end: SRAD-generation GSXR750 triples, to retain use of steering lock and stops. '02 gsxr1000 fork tubes, TLR front wheel with nearly new 120/70 M3, 4-pot '02 GSXR750 tokicos. '06 gsxr600 radial master cylinder, galfer SS lines, 06 gsxr1000 front fender. custom headlight engine/tranny: r6 throttle tube, '05 SV shift kit, K&N filter dynojet jetted 05 GSXR1000 hacked on titanium muffler with custom hanger. rear end: vortex/D.I.D. 520 chain/sprockets '05 ZX636 shock, svraceshop 100mm dogbones, bandit 1200 5.5 inch rear wheel w/ good cond. 180/55 M3 home hack-job tail. looks good, needs "finishing" though. tire hugger/rear fender relocated rear reservoir i have a good deal of extras and a few things still on the way, as i will continue to ride and mod my bike because i have no idea if listing it here will even yield a result. extras/things on the way: stock round front headlight operational hommeade tach and water temp gauges unmolested subframe rear passenger seat and pegs full length bellypan steering damper unmolested stock exhaust scorpion slip-on pics: http://static.flickr.com/120/262295647_42c56249af.jpg?v=0 http://static.flickr.com/84/262278624_77d3a8d19b.jpg?v=0 http://static.flickr.com/94/262280554_f07a000700.jpg?v=0 here is a link to a TON of pics of it as it has progressed during my ownership. http://flickr.com/photos/82714182@N00/sets/72157594329266857/ as long as this post is, i feel i've left some stuff out and i'll update accordingly |
