I'm wondering what is going on with this. I contributed $100 about two years ago and I have no idea if the money has been given to any actual riders or not. I looked in the thread on this board but there is hardly any posts in the last year. Blake or anyone, can you fill me in on where this stands? |

The summary status of the fund is accurately reported at the bottom of the tabular listing at... http://www.badweatherbikers.com/buell/messages/158664/91000.html The fund has been dormant since the end of the 2005 season where we paid out $2,100 in awards to Buell racers. Again, this is accurately reported in the tabular listing on the fund's page referenced above. Why dormant? The AMA changed the program for 2006, no longer providing the free sponsor passes, four per event, to contingency award program sponsors. Without those passes it was difficult to justify paying the AMA's $1,500 fee, which amounted to a whopping 25% of our remaining funds, especially considering the unsure state of Buell racing in FX last year. If anyone has any suggestions as to what to do with the remaining funds, I'm eager to hear them. Got any ideas? Personally I wouldn't mind donating the entire balance to the RRW Action Fund in the name of BadWeB, but I won't do that unless everyone who contributed agrees since that was never the purpose of the fund. |

Why don't we use the left over funds to sponsor a team or two for 2007? Have them paint BadWeb on the bike somewhere. Screw the AMA and their $1,500 Fee. That would be a waste. Just my two cents. Of course, $6K probably doesn't add up to a hill of beans for someone trying to run a competitive Buell FX Team. |

I'm going to start racing with CCS-SW is February... Does it pay to CCS? I don't remember. Also... I'd bet that $6K would feed an FX team for a while at least. Having a BadWeb logo on a bike in a poster would be pretty cool, but I'm thinking that $6K wouldn't buy much space . Are there any postage stamp sized BadWeb stickers ? |

We cannot sponsor a team. That would be problematic for our sponsor situation and the rules of BadWeB. We can organize an awards program for the racers. Don, There is no awards program currently in place. The only program that ever was in place was the 2005 AMA FX program. CCS would be good, just not sure with all the racers that we could offer up anything meaningful. There's a LOT of Buell racers in CCS. |

Blake, You have my vote for the $ going to RRW action fund. It will do a lot more good there than being spread so thin among many racers. Besides, I did a couple track days at Mid Ohio this year and as slow as I am the armco barriers through thunder valley are scary close. |

How about MOTO ST? Also, if race shirts, jackets, patches and stickers are produced, the money made could help fund a contingency program. I am sure that with the collection of talent here on this site, the production cost should be kept to a minimum, and the sell through should be more then acceptable. |

Moto ST would be good. No merchandising for me. If someone else wants to take that on, contact me and we can discuss it. It is an incredible amount of work. |
