I have have a 05 city the I love...This weekend they had Buell demo's come to town... I finally rode a SS and loved it and I rode a Bolt for second time... I really loved the SS but Firebolt handling has got my wheels spinning. Wish there was a firebolt long. I Know its a matter of just getting used to things but what can you to make this bike a better fit for a taller rider..What works and what ruins the bikes handling? Lean Angle Higher Seat? Lower Buell Pegs? Better Rear Sets? I also felt a hell of vibration at mostly at idle on the handle bars.. When I was done felt like I just done the yard with the weed wacker..Maybe just the factory demo generic setup? Or is that an Issue? I'm 6'1" 230ish.. |

Try the deluxe seat (about1/2 or more higher than stock), Lightning pegs (1 inch drop over the Bolt's) and finally Heli bar risers. I am 6'3" and felt pretty comfy with that setup. Mio |

The Firebolt and the Lightning Long are so close in the handling department. Trust me, as an owner of the two. (not at the same time however). |

The long did handle real nice... Thought about going the long route with different bars.. |

I am the same height as you but do not weigh as much and have a Firebolt. The ergo's are fairly comfy as is once the suspension sag is set properly it makes the bike feel less cramped. 1stbuell already mentioned the common changes. |

One the other hand..................... One might put an Firebolt tail on a Lightning, and Tomaselli adjustable clubman's bars to get a weight forward position on the bars, but not in as low a position as the Firebolt clip ons. Might look somewhat this like this:
