Hey guys, just bought my first buell. And I am looking for some buell guys to ride with. Almost finished with the bike, just waiting to go pic up the new rims from John (who I met on here already) in NOVA. Here are some pics of the bike to show off a little.

I'll be leaving from Frederick early Saturday morning and picking up whoever is interested in to going up to NJ. Leaving Frederick via 70E to 695N to 95N, we can make a stop @ Mikes HD in DE to pick up people there too. If you want to meet on 95, pick a rest stop along the way and well meet you there. PM me if you are interested and where you are coming from. I need to know ASAP so I can finalize our departure/meeting times and let everyone know. Also let me know if you are bringing your EZ-Pass. -Ras (Message edited by Rasmonis on September 20, 2006) |

Hello DC-VA-MD Buell Riders! I moved to DC earlier this year and have been keeping an eye on this thread (formerly of KCLW), but have been so busy at work that I haven’t had much time to ride this season. I recently picked up a 03 XB9R in rough shape and have been slowly putting it back together. I now need a TPS reset and was wondering if anyone nearby had the software, or if the dealership in Ft Washington, MD could be trusted. Also, a buddy of mine at work recently starting riding (04 GSX-R 600) and is jonesing to ride Skyline Dr in Shenandoah. I haven’t ridden it yet, but it looks pretty twisty on the maps. I keep telling him that he is not ready. But if he’s going to do it anyway, I’d rather be w/ him. We were thinking of going on the weekend of the 30th but I am worried about fallen leaves making for slippery conditions. Any comments about this road are welcome. |

Rob, If you stick to the speed limit there he should be fine. Fun and pretty ride. He'll be really good at countersteering after riding that road. Some of the roads leading up to the park, like for example 211 between Luray and Sperryville, are more challenging, but again, the local police are on the lookout for bikes going over the speed limit. If you want to ride with some Buellers, DCBRAG meets at Ft. Washington on the first Saturday's of the month at 10 am. Hope to see you there sometime! There's also dcsportbikes.com for multibrand rider to go ride with. |

How much did they charge and did they do it while you waited? The bike is running fine right now w/ the stock ecm, Jardine pipe, 12 airbox, de-snorkled, and K&N filter. The only issue is the check engine light stays on. I'm trying to decide if I want to bother w/ the race ecm or not. We are planning on trucking the bikes to Front Royal and riding to Waynesboro and back. I will do the best I can to stay under the speed limit. I'll probably put the gsxr up front. His speedo runs fast and I haven't told him yet. What time of year do the leaves fall around here? I've only lived in KS (no trees) and western Washington state (mostly pine). Should I not be worried about that yet? |

Ras, We definably can't fit a third bike in his S10 (I'm not yet convinced we can fit two), but we could meet you in Front Royal if you want. I'm not sure how much of the road we are going to conquer and we will be going pretty slow, but your welcome tag along. |

Sure, but I do have concerns. Someone from DCSportsriders said that cops like to harass big groups of riders. But I'm sure most of the group will take off and we'll lag behind at the speed limit. I'm worried about my friend riding in a big group. Skyline is probably not a good road for him to experience that for the first time. He's got a pretty level head, so he won't try to push too far past his limit. How many are we talking? (Message edited by cereal on September 22, 2006) |

Not sure, I'll put it out and see how many people are interested. I've heard the same about po-po being out there, speed shouldn't be a concern, we are a tame bunch. Usually we're a relatively small group of 2-5. -Ras (Message edited by Rasmonis on September 22, 2006) |

Everyone, Queensryche is scheduled to play the 930 Club in DC on 11/04 and Ram's Head Live in Baltimore on 11/05. Anyone interested in riding to one of these shows? If it can be arranged and if the guys have their bikes with them at that time we could take them on a local ride? |

Due to safety concerns over road conditions after the storms they are predicting.. I'm calling my ride off.. I'll post the new date in a little while.. I'm thinking of next Sunday.. Sorry, but some of the roads are kinda nasty to start with and if there is a washout from the storms.. well, I'd rather err on the side of caution. |

Jose, I was lucky enough to win the signed CD from Queensryche and 2 tickets. I will be at the Baltimore show! We may try to get the guys to stop by the Buell Store in Baltimore...we have a good relationship with one of our advertisers, 98 Rock. |

Jose, I don't know if I will be at the meeting this Saturday as I need to get the tps reset on my bike, and I haven't had time to call the dealer as I just got it running tonight. However if I can get it done ther are two open houses going on in the Bermuda Triangle. |

Lars, explain the "Bermuda Triangle" are you saying between 270/70/95? (Hagerstown/Baltimore/DC)? Saturday, There's two open houses that I'm interested in Bob's BMW in Jessup www.bobsbmw.com Ducati/MotoGuzzi dealer SpeedCycle in Elkridge www.speedscycle.com They're both close by, and close to each other so visiting both on Saturday should be easy, then we can ride into the triangle, there's some good roads in there. I'm not aware of any HD/Buell Dealer events. Sunday, I forgot about the Flying Circus!! We went to their earlier bike day in July, it's a lot of fun. We jumped in the two seater after the show and went up for a few minutes it was a blast! Great suggestion. However, I have been promising to go on one of Pete's ride for a long time, so 10 am at Leesburg (from Roy Rogers?) I'll talk to the boss..... |

Yeppers.. From Roys.. Bring Linda along.. Robin is on her Blast and I promised, no knee draggin' speeds... Although, it should be pretty .. uh.. spirited.. I'll look forward to seein' you guys.. and any one else that want's to come out! (keep your fingers crossed for nice weather) |

Jose, Those are the two open houses I was talking about, ther should be some cool bikes to see at eitherone. However ,Gary Egan will be at Speeds which should be cool and I also think Red Bull will be there also . I have an appointment at Annapolis Buell at 9:00 am so I may be able to make it to the meeting. |
