Apart from original equipment saddlebags, can anyone recommend a brand of saddlebags that fit well on an M2? BTW, does anyone out there have a set of factory bags they want to sell? |

Nator the waterproof bags from Aerostitch are GREAT, and fit quite nicely on teh MaDuece -- http://www.aerostich.com/product.php?productid=16156&cat=280&page=1 so do Wolfman bags -- actually, the great thing about most softluggage is that it'll adapt nicely to most scoots if you pass on the Aerostitch bags, do yourself a favor and check out http://rka-luggage.com/ small family owned bidness, run by folks that tride, and the design of their gear shows it! wonderful customer service (almost as good as Daves!), check em out. (nope, no affiliation a t'all -- just a satisfied customer) |

I think there was an article in the ole' "Battletwin" mag about an install of the Chase Harper Stealth bags on an M2.The Cortech Sport bags look good. They even advertise with them on an S2.They'd be my pick if I was in the market.Right now I'm using the Buell briefcase to haul my stuff around though it doesn't hold a lot.Just big enough to put my back n forth to work junk. |

Ken, thanks for reminding me. The Stealth bags are not Chase Harpers finest product ... I borrowed a set from a friend awhile ago, and they're too small, zipper not waterproof and the mounting is akward. But other than that ... I've looked at the Cortech bags as well, and they look like a nice product. No real life experience though. Henrik |

Henrik - I have Cortech bags. Very well made, high quality materials, and well thought out. You can tell the designers ride motorcycles. For what it's worth, I recommend them. |

I'm running an old set of Vetter saddle bags, ( good, but not available anymore ) Chase Harper tail bag, ( slightly cheesy, not waterproof )& Oxford Humpback tank bag. ( nice quality, but won't easily hold XXL full face helmet, sigh ) The nice thing about the location of our mufflers is you can use a large, rectangular bag without any trouble. I suggest clear protective tape on the sides of the tail & routing the straps under the seat. I run a webbing strap from passenger peg mount to tail frame ( up & back at an angle ) to make sure the bags do not rub on the wheel. I doubt it's needed as Aero forces pull the bags out at speed. |

Hey Sparkster, I'm trying to figure out how to attach my Buell Briefcase ! Would you still have the instructions by any chance? Or a description/picture, whatever. The clips don't reach, can't get it to fasten on my stock M2 seat. When I moved to California on my SR500 I used two gym bags connected by a leather belt for saddlebags. Works, not pretty... |

JV, The briefcase came with a harness that ties in with the seat hold down bolt under the seat.If ya have that,it shouldn't be a problem.I'll take some pics to show you. Sparks

Sparkster, Is that your bike? I love the "MUELL" plate! Most Buellers will get it but M2'ers really get it. Jack |

Hey Sparkster, nice bike, what's that front pulley cover? Looks like the AeroTech one that I'm currently working on ro put on my M2. I found some real Buell saddlebags on eBay for about $100, delivered. They seem all right. That briefcase pictures help a lot, that deal is what I got, but for some reason my straps are not as long as yours. They just don't reach, I'm doing exactly like in your picture. My straps are at the end of their adjustment, still like about 2-3 inches short. Could not figure it out. Got it offa eBay, so, oh well. I'll try to get some more buckles and make some extenders, or even better make some new straps, I keep forgetting my wife has a sewing machine ! |
