Hey folks, I'm looking to do some touring on my M2 and would like to upgrade the seat. The perfect thing would be a Corbin Gunfighter and Lady, but I'd be tempted by a Corbin solo seat or another high quality aftermarket seat too. Before I buy one new, does anyone have something like this lying around that they aren't using? I'll be happy to buy it up. Cheers, Reed. |

After reading different testimonials over the years you might check out the Buell custom seat. There have been alot of dissatisfied cutomers with the Corbin seat. Keep in mind I'm not bashing Corbin but there is probably better seats for the money. But to each their own. |

Reed: If you are going to buy new, I noticed last year that Corbin had a lower price in the winter of 2005 ($229)and then raised it in the spring of 2006 ($349. I don't know if this is an annual thing with them or not. Mark |

I have the Corbin on mine. A good seat for touring. I have ridden from Eastern North Carolina to Cincinnati and back on my M2 with the Corbin. That's two 650 mile days out of three. The Corbin is much better than the stock M2 seat, but not as good as a stock Uly seat. I have no experience with the Buell Custom seat, but Buell makes a good seat for the Uly. MY2Cents.

Reed, We have a Corbin G&L seat in stock that a customer ordered and then wrecked his bike prior to it being sent to him. Even though it was a non-returnable custom order, we didn't force it on him, figured we'd find someone that wanted it. But I don't like keeping Corbin seats around tying up inventory $$. It's the CF leather in the seating area, black vinyl elsewhere, no welting, like the one shown here without the yellow welting: http://www.corbin.com/buell/m299.shtml If you're interested in this one, I'll take 20% off, it'll be $280. Let me know, you can just order it here if you want it (disregard the price, mention this post in the shipping comment section). The picture is of the actual seat in question. http://www.americansportbike.com/shop/cgi-bin/cp-app.cgi?usr=51F5995384&rnd=3699 862&rrc=N&affl=&cip=71.136.98.13&act=&aff=&pg=prod&ref=6029&cat=&catstr= Al |

Hey Al ... can I put it on layaway ? ? Seriously ... do you know if there is any truth in Corbin prices being 'seasonal' ? After the 'Keep America Beautiful, Save the Tits' ride .. and the Slimey Crud Run .. (500+ miles in the two days) my stocker developed a crack on a pressure point in the seat, I wanted a different one anyway - one that won't slide me into the tank all the time. How much would shipping be on that seat ? I may have to take dibs on next in line.... Thanks Brian |

I've snagged a used Corbin from a fellow forum member (thanks Jack!) so go ahead and snag that one from Al, Brian. I think you'll like it! And Al, thanks so much for the generous offer! If I hadn't already filled my need for seat, I'd be all over it. |

You're welcome, Reed. And thanks for helping to clean out the basement a little. Jack |
