The headlights are Dominators and the fly screen is stock... well stock but it met the band saw  I've got the Pro Series intake installed, jetted 45 and 175 for my Vance and Hines exhaust, two tone paint matte black and antiqued silver/brown/black, Dominator headlights, trimmed tail, mini arrow turn signals front and rear, custom chopped stock windscreen with custom brackets, and I've adjusted the idle air mixture. | ||

The Dominators are EXCELLENT! they better cover the road with light due to their dual low and high beam 55w/65w. I'm in Missouri (I see you are in Michigan) and flyncycle is in Chicago so shipping to me was fast! As for brackets, I just picked up some from Brockton cycle center. Their shipping was SLOW but it all works out in the end. As for wiring, you have to disassemble the stock headlight housing and unplug the headlight directly from the three prong wiring harness plug. Then, plug the bullet connector from the twin lights together (from one light to the other) and simply plug your stock wiring harness into the Dominator harness. It's literally plug and play with NO CUTTING REQUIRED!!! super nice and functional too. Supposedly you can use the stock headlight bracket but it has to be modified (mine was bent in the crash) so I'd recommend dropping the fifteen bucks to get some new ones. As for my flyscreen, I just band sawwed the bottom flat, then rounded the edges. I used some sheet metal to fab two straps that mount from the brockton headlight brackets to the flyscreen. I used the stock flyscreen bolts to mount the screen to the custom bracket and viola! Done! Thanks for the kind words! | ||

Yes... mounted high...just like I like 'em!!! If you hadnt said it was the stock flyscreen cut down I wouldnt have believed it. Looks much bigger against the Dominators. | ||

This picture thread is moving slow so I will post some snow pictures to try and show some of you warm weather riders what we in the snow belt are up against for October thru April(Some times May, June, and July in the UP) Sand was blowing across US2 off lake Michigan, the plow trucks had been out to plow the sand from the road.  Then heading south on I-75 this is what it looked like. Remember, this is October 13. Three days earlier I saw a couple on a Goldwing pulling a trailer heading west out of Marquette, it was snowing hard, but not sticking  In April it was like this and I saw a motorcycle riding through 4" of the wet heavy stuff. . | ||

But I did ride the Sportster to an inspection yesterday, it was a little cold in the morning(Ice in the water bucket) but it warmed up to a balmy 50 degrees. However my wife has stopped asking me to go see someone about being depressed...LOL! (Whatever it takes Honey) I figured, either ride it today....or five months from today! | ||

It's still decent here in my area. Though from my front door I can see the mountain with 4 feet of snow on it already! SUCKS! Moved from one apt to another, had to ride the blast over. A whopping 37 degrees. Actually not that bad once tucked down by the flyscreen | ||

Jeez...what part of Siberia do you live in? I used to hate riding my bike to work and then getting caught in snow on the way home. I do also remember every October the depression setting in. But fire season has just begun here. It'll likely be snowing tomorrow - ash that is. | ||

yikes snow...bad snow...well at least for riding, snowboarding is another matter  I've vowed to ride as many days as possible this winter. it was 27degrees friday morning as I rolled through the gate in Groton CT. | ||

I can see the punch marks in the hub of your black Blast! There is one at the one o'clock and one at the nine o'clock position. Doesn't matter much, I have JB Weld holding my bearings in! LOL! And darn it! It looks like you could actually ride today! It was cold wet and windy where I am. | ||

Today was a cleaning day - inside and out - so I made it count! Tommorrow - more of the same with church and a evening picnic ride to Pacifica -a little nothing enjoyment ride - our riding season is year round, so no rush - lol - Clean!  GT - JBOTDS! EZ | ||

See the tire and wheel section - however, they are very sticky, they handle very well, so far their life is very good with close to 2000 mi. on them, and I'm sure the track guys here could safely get to their edges, their size is 140/70R and 110/70F. Either Swampy's swingarm mod or going with 30.5 psi for the first 1000 miles would be required - either way - the tires themselves are great! Lafayette is running the stock sized version and is very happy with them so far. GT - JBOTDS1 EZ | ||

Some of those mods have good reasons, others are a personal preference - though perhaps not to our taste - they make him happy. Thats what customization is about - that and being different! Here are the rest:         - there is serious effort and a lot of old school knowledge here, and true the beaded seat had me going also, still - it works for him. In the end thats what counts.
