So in the process of making my bike my own I have removed a couple of parts and added some others. One day i saw the belt guards (top and bottom) and decided to remove the bottom one. So far so good. Anyway, I was hoping to remove the top one. Now besides the usual: "don't get your your shoelaces, fingers, various limbs caught in the belt drive." Does anyone know of any reason why I SHOULDN'T remove the top belt guard?

I have had mine off for about six months.

No issues.

I do ride on very clean, dry roads though.
