Author Message   Thespive Posted on Tuesday, September 12, 2006 - 03:22 am:        Anyone know if the XRCR jacket is the same as the Vanson Corsair? I really want that jacket and the Buell piece looks the same, but is quite a bit cheaper. Also curious if the XRCH is a Stallion or a Satellite with Buell graphics? Can't find any locally and I would really like one or the other to wear when it starts to get cool. --Sean   Dave Posted on Tuesday, September 12, 2006 - 07:31 am:        You might want to contact Vanson if you don't get a reply here. A related note...The Vanson Ventmax (mark 3) initially seems to be the same as Vanson Buell BU-25 but it's not. The Buell version has padding in the shoulders and elbows where the Vanson has armor in the same areas plus a back protector. No liner. I use it for only hot commuting because it is only mesh. It flows air very well and offers some protection. I think I paid like $130 or so from Stone Mtn last year. The Joe Rocket Phoenix is nice for the $. It has a zip out liner than is rain proof as well. I went there on Saturday, and my wallet is lighter, but the savings were fantastic.
