You have a headlight out My mom actually told me that as I was leaving her house. I had fun finding myself on zeefoto and killboy last night. There is also dragonslayer and moonshinephoto. I started to look there as well, but the fluffy walked in wearing a new negligee and it just didn't seem as important anymore. Nuts, how are all those guys from Flordia doing? Adapting to the curves well? Who is that on the black firebolt at the beginning of the zeefoto series? |

Nuts, No need to rush home. If necesary I can swing by before we leave Monday morning to drop off the key and get the camera. Tell Tank Jackie says hey and best of luck to you and yours! (for all you Andy Griffith fans out there). Got the cover in today so didn't go hunting. I went on a short little sad ride by myself. I did take time out to install a wireless monitor in the tortoise room so now I can sit on the couch for hours and watch the high excitement world of tortoise life. Ken has the hotel reserved for our Oct. 20-21st trip. I am hoping you get the days off so I can immerse you in the waters of the exotic reptile world. |

Jackie, When is your trip to Myrtle Beach? I live in the area(hint). Let me tell you about my little excitement wednesday, was getting ready to go to Greenville SC(other son) and my friend that stores my trailer called. Said he caught a guy trying to steal it. Had his truck in position and had cut the tongue lock off and was dragging it to his hitch when he showed up.Thief saw him, jumped into his truck(no trailer)raced across his yard, his neighbors yard(sod going everywhere) hit hwy.17South going north, ran two cars and a tractor trailer off the road, cut down a dirt road(my friend still in persuit in his truck)three more dirt roads later they hit a deadend, thief jumps out and runs into woods. My friend stays with abandoned truck and calls police, who have abandoned truck impounded.Haven't heard from police yet as to wether or not they have caught him yet. All I lost was a lock, I owe my friend a very tall brew...............Charlie |

Charlie, I'll be arriving Monday afternoon. You don't by chance know of any good spots to look for creepy crawlis do you. I'm not picky and would be happy finding anything from anoles all the way up to cottonmouths. That is a funny story about the thief. Guy must have been pretty stupid LOL!! |

Charlie, it seems good things happen to good people. NUTS dropped the Uly again this morning trying to imitate Charlie kickin the ass end around. That Uly sure crashes well. I came off and needed help getting it back up because I was laughing so hard. I know Jackie is cringing with every new post and thanking his lucky stars he couldn't come. Just wait'll he sees the picture of the rattler I found at the overlook! Big ride home tomorrow, wish me luck. NUTS |

I knew you were going to get sucked into the craziness!! I am glad you ain't hurt but you better cool it down or they may be adding a piece of the PREVIOUSLY NEW Uly to the tree of shame. I think I can safely say already that I won't be attending the 2nd annual Dragon trip and I haven't even heard all the stories yet . I enjoy my bike being fresh and purty too much to risk scratching it. |

I think everyone should get a Uly. There was a fellow Badwebber at the Dragon that had his Uly professionally lowered. He also had super nice quality suspension added. Penske shock and GSXR 1000 fork internals. Total bill was $2k, but it was the everymans Uly. Off to sleep for NUTS has many miles to get home. |

well i had a good time and met some GREAT people. i also have to say if you ever get a chance to go visit Smokey Mountain Harley Davidson/Buell you should. i think it is the best dealer i have ever been to. they went out of there way to get me back up on the road again. my xb12scg broke down on me twice while i was down there. the first time it broke down the voltage reg went out on me, and of course it does it at the worst time and place. it went out half way up the dragon. thanks to Nuts for hauling some batteries back and forth. we got it up to the store where i could call brag from a pay phone and get a tow truck. it took 2 1/2 hours for the tow truck driver to get there. then i forgot to give him the key to my bike...so i have to give tank a huge thanks for being my chauffeur for the day. he took me to SM HD in the morning but we did get to look at the very nice looking women that work there!! then on my way home my front wheel started to make popping sounds it didn't really sound very good. so i stopped by SM HD again and it turns out my front wheel bearing where going bad. they fixed it up for me all under warranty free of charge. but i didn't leave until 5:30 in the after noon. i got home about 11:45 at night. all in all it was a fun trip. here is some pic's i cant wait to see every body else's pic's all packed and ready to go
tank and my xb's
nut's and tank act nonchalant at the damn
that damn thing looked cool...lol
we ran into toxic up there too. here we are from left to right. me, Toxic, Nuts, Tank and LoneXB
here is the ever so popular deals gap sign pic. from left to right Tank, Nut's, Me, LoneXB
oh yah here you go jacky this one is for you.

Awesome pics!! Been waiting to put faces to the names. Jimduncan, I gotta say your bike looks pretty freakin' awesome. Probably the neatest scheme I have seen thus far. Thanks for the Copperhead pic. Its' rear portion looks a bit odd. Had it been run over or is it just a shadow effect? By the way, next time ya'll better be careful parking around Nuts and his Uly. It has a bad habit of falling over on the kickstand HEHEHEHE!! |

Nice pic's guys. That copperhead looks like he might have a meal packed in there. I like looking at snakes, but hate running into them in the wild. Nuts are you missing that X1 yet. Sorry fellows Im just not a duel sport guy.For those that have them and love them,I think it's great. OK Nuts, make it home without dropping the darn thing again and maybe we won't ride you too bad................Charlie |

Me thinks Nuts enjoys the Uly a bit much, always tearing through a median, or some un-marked, barely visible "path", which leads who knows where. He sure has a huge grin most of the time, although he was not smiling during the snake "raslin" episode. Jackie, Sure wish you could have been witness to the latest episodes in the ongoing saga of "The Nuts"(and family). I totally enjoyed meeting everyone, and had a great time! Gary(if you're checking here) Brian told me about your bearings. That sucks dude, glad you finally made it home. I guess your week went something like a bad nightmare called "Brokebike Mountain".BHAAHAA(sorry, couldn't resist.) Nice pics, BTW. Pics to come, as soon as I put them on a diet. Tank |

NUTS is home. I went up through the Dragon into Knoxville. Then jumped on I40 which turns into I81 and decided the highway IS NOT for NUTS. SO the long way through Cherokee Nat'l Park sufficed. By the way that road is awesome. I'll spend the morning composing my report. I've got some killer photo's! UKNOWHO |

Donnie, was that you on route 615? I was the lead Uly and TheRaven was behind on his Uly. What a chance to find 3 black Uly's on a road that remote. Long ways from Hatteras it seems, post up when you'll be back around. Another black Uly just got sold locally last week while I was at Deals Gap. Report to follow. Feller's, I hopped in the truck today for the first time in over a week. I was feeling pretty good about myself until I heard about a rider who hasn't driven a car in 7 years. Whatever the weather he rides to work. When it gets really bad he takes his dirtbike and rides along the ditch. Hardcore? NUTS |

Sure is nice to have a regular priced beer. It was either pay $19 for an 18 pack of cans, or drive 50-60 miles to a non-dry county........$19 it was. Tank |

I must say that visiting Smokey Mountain HD/Buell is not exactly an unpleasant experience. We met two salesman and one service dude who own Buells, and the "scenery" floating around the showroom was very pleasing. "MMMM, MMMMM, Bitch!!!" Tank |

I'll be going up in the car to Meadows of Dan with my wife Thursday to ride my X1 back.I rode it up on vacation & got ticked off after I fixed some minor wiring/fuel injection problems only to have my front wheel bearings go out. That is when I went to Tilley's & bought the Uly,talk abought impulse.I picked up wheel bearings & fixed the tuber & enjoyed 2 buells the rest of my vacation.

Hey does anyone know who had the blue tuber at Shenandoah HD (Buell) up in Staunton last Saturday. By the time I found pen and paper it was gone. I don't know if it came from down Roanoke way because it looked like they were going two up on the bike. I'm glad they at least let one Buell park up near the store. I was told that when they paraded the '07 bikes they had only one Buell. It was I believe an '06 Blast. I had to climb over two HD Dressers to get to the slim pickings for Buell stuff. Man, they are so sad!!! |

Howard,I'm unaware of any blue tuber from Roanoke. RVHD did accept 2 Uly's on trade from Shenandoah for 2 Sportsters. Our Buell accessories are pretty sad but we now have 6 Buells on the floor or at least ready to be on the floor. I sound like I work there sheesh! I do enjoy discussing the bikes at great length with my dealer though; right Seth? NUTS |

Nuts, We did have one guy that was in the Brag Group that had a 2002 cyclone that was blue(can't remember his name, worked at Advance Admin.) He traded for a XB12R I think. Can't remember who Zack sold the M2 to, but I think it's still in the area......Charlie |

I stand corrected. I'm desperately awaiting Killboy.com front page. They have 2 pics of NUTS exhibiting textbook lean angles on his ULY. I don't have screen capture and am otherwise a computer idiot. If you happen to find yourself in the "store," look up 9/14 Thursday touring bikes page #12. Pic # 285. There are several other interesting pics of Buells on there as well. Notable is the pic of Jimduncan69's Lightning being trailered away. At least it didn't have a rider induced service call. NUTS |
