Rossi's luck seems to have turned around from the beginning of the season. Pedrosa is still hurting, so he may not perform as well as he normally would.   Rocketman Posted on Saturday, September 16, 2006 - 09:23 pm:        Rossi's luck hasn't turned around. Sure he had some bad luck, but this season especially he's ridden the wheels off that Yamaha. Just think how low his qualifying has been. The lowest grid position(s) of his Moto GP career, and he's still managed to get the lead or podiums. I would call that everything but luck. I can't see anyone but Pedrosa fighting him for the title. Hayden is a great consistent rider, but he's not a consistent race winner. When his tyres are shot he falls back. When Rossi's tyres are shot he just seems to go that little bit further. After last weeks performance Pedrosa simply can't feel any worse this week. Advantage Pedrosa. Capirossi can't expect to take the title, but how close could he have been without the mid season pile up makes one wonder. Ducati must be so pleased with their efforts. Capirossi will push to the limit though and has a one in three chance of winning this race, and I hope he does. However, I think the start will see him too far down the field by the end of the first lap and the race pace will be pretty close to qualifying, unless rain spoils the party, which could happen. Not too many people could be doing it as well as he has for as long as he has. My prediction is that he will take third. (Message edited by eboos on September 16, 2006)
