That's cool. Are the paint codes available for the XBRR? I have an extra set of Ulysses plastics. I'd like to get 'em that green and black! DAve |

The only hard part about getting the xbrr parts, is that you have to get them through Buell racing, you can't order them normally through a Buell dealer, the part numbers dont show up. If there is anything specific you guys are looking for, let me know. I've got some spare on hand for our bike. Usually Jaime or Henry only take a week or so to get anything else to the shop (Cycle Connection). Josh |

I tried running these numbers through a dealership and I was told the swingarm was not a valid # ? Why doesn't the factory step up and publish a catalog with race and performance parts like h-d does for the lead sleds???? |

PM or email me (jcox@cycleconnectionh-d.com) what parts you want, and I will get you pricing info. Buell Racing doesn't give the dealers pricing either. I have to get price inquiries on every order. If you are looking for specific items, just tell me the general name, I will find the part # and prices for you |

They are only available through the race department with racing part numbers because if they were run through the regular H-D driven parts system they would cost twice as much! Neither we nor the dealer have much mark-up on these parts because we are trying to help racers. Geez, take advantage of what we are trying to do!!! |

I was SO surprised the first time picking one up. I was expecting aluminum. It is a light one hand lift... crazy. Trilogy of Tech: Low unsprung mass! |

Exactly... I figure I'm already ahead of the curve with the front so I'll get the rear first. I'll probably go with the larger oil cooler as the first step... Too bad the damn bracket is soo much... Grrr... gotta be done though. I still think someone oughtta make a carbon fiber frame... |

M1combat -- Do you really need the RR cooler? If your motor isn't putting out a lot more power than a stock XB -- a lot more -- oil temperatures shouldn't be a problem. If you do need the big cooler, you could make it a lot more effective with a front-facing scoop with a small opening that diverged back to the oil cooler, much like the one built into the RR fairing. |

I may not ... I'll be racing in the summer in Phoenix though so it was my assumption that I would. I'll be doing a bunch of trackdays before the '07 season starts so I'll know more after that. Go figure... a guy that grew up in Alaska trying to race sprint races in the summer in Phoenix... I'm probably gunna die... What about an RR cooler with two "R" scoops mounted to it... the rear one with a 1/2" of spacer at the front to get it out in the air more? Just thoughts... Can you maybe give us some info as to what other parts are interchangeable and lighter? Maybe engine mounts, brackets and that sort of thing? Thanks in advance if you can. It's very much appreciated. |

The most significant RR parts for someone racing an XB are: 1) The swingarm and related components, assuming you want to convert to chain drive for gearing choice reasons. 2) The XBRR 8-piston brake caliper. It's really, really good, and a bargain compared to other top level racing calipers. Only a handful will be available before late winter. 3) Mag wheels. 17 x 3.5 and 5.75 are available now. A 16.5 x 3.5 front may be available late '06, early '07. 4) The optional RR slipper clutch. Should be available in early October, and will work in XBs. 5) The carbon-fiber bodywork. It's good for serious mph at Bonneville or long courses, available now. 6) The McWilliam's replica footpeg brackets, not yet in the catalog, but coming 7) Endurance racing quick change rear axle components, which work only with the RR swingarm. |

The "rearsets" are just firebolt passenger pegs bolted into place. |
