What do people recommend for replacement batteries? So the regulator on my 2005 XB12Scg went bad 4 weeks ago. (I was getting 17.5 volts @ 2500 rpms.) I got a new one from Daves and replaced it. Everything seemed to be working fine. I didn't touch the bike for 4 weeks and when went to start it yesterday, the battery was dead. Jumped it with my brothers bike and got it going. I put a multimeter across the battery and was getting 13 volts just off idle so I know my stator is good. |

OEM HD/Buell battery is what I run in all of mine and will buy again. I went with others before (including Odyssey) and was not impressed DAve |

the OEM battery is good stuff, and price is right, but make sure that whatever battery you PAY for is fresh. they are all date coded, dont pay full price for a year old battery. the industry standard number for your Buell battery is the YTX14bs. that is also the Yuasa and Interstate number. DEKA make a version called the ETX14 which is a good quality AGM battery, just like the OEM. |

I went with the OEM battery from Daves. It arrived yesterday, but I haven't had a chance to even open the box. I sprained my ankle on Sunday and I spent last night (after work) in the Emergency Room. I got some X-Rays taken and a brace. Looks like my riding season might be coming to a close early. |
