Did you ask the Pirelli guy if they recommend putting a 190/50 on a 5" rim? |

Comparing the tire discount house deal to what the dealer charges is funny. |

Don't all the 600cc repliracers come with 180/55 rear tires stock? |

Anyway, I can accept that folks want to have a wider rear tire cause they like the look. It just, in my mind, runs contrary to what a Buell motorcycle is all about. It's cool though. I've run a 180/55 series on my 5" rimmed Cyclone in order to be able to use other than Michelin racing tires. No really bad effect other than I was not able to use all the tire. And having chicken strips on a racing tire is kinda embarassing. (Message edited by Blake on September 08, 2006) |

actually it is a suzuki dealer that i get tires from. no online or discount house. that is normal everyday price for the last few years. as far as the rim goes i'm way ahead of you. i was pretty sure it was a 5 1/2? could be wrong i guess, but was thinking i measured one not all the long ago with the tire off. the person at pirelli did say it was IDEAL on a 6 inch rim but they sure wouldn't put one on anything under a 5 1/2. so take that as you will. honestly i'm not sure what is on most of the 600's i guess, i see more 1000's and they seem to run 190's. heck the ZX12 in the back is a 200, but you might possiably be right on the 600's never really paid that much attention. they just never seem to have to many 180's in stock (Message edited by no_rice on September 08, 2006) |

I thought on the Buell web site it posts it as being a 5 inch rear? (Message edited by hogs on September 09, 2006) |

The 55 would have a little larger circumference than the 50. I don't know how they would compare to the standard size. But it has seemed to me that the actual dimensions of the same size tire by different manufacturers vary. |
