Hi, Since when did the little red X start working? I've asked several times in the past to up the time that one can delete there own message(s). I found someone in Kansas City to look at the scope for me. All I want to do is delete my non-motorcycle related postings. <grin>

I think the time envelope for deleting one's own posts is currently set at 8 hours or more. Try to stay current would ya? |

Paul- Do you already have a Blast? I was looking at your profile. Since the Riders Edge beginners class uses Blasts for the students I would guess that it would be an ideal bike for her. They have a nice low seat and are tame on the power. I have only ridden one around the block so I am not real familiar with them other than trying to convince my wife to get one. |

Hello Everyone Not sure if this is the place to post this? I am thinking of moving to North Carolina, any suggestions on where is a good city or town? I am thinking about 20-30 miles from the coast. Any help would be great! |

I'm in the UK for a brief visit near Manchester. I figured this was a good place to buy a rainsuit (waterproofs?) Any recommendations as to where and which models to look at? (Message edited by chauly on September 13, 2006) |

Nope, but you could at least check out Bauer Millet at the end of Deansgate. They usually have some cool cars in there. They are UK Chevy importers, and were one time HD Buell dealers but not anymore. Rocket |

Hi - It's been a while. I have a quick question and am hoping fo some long answers: I took my 01 M2 out for a ride today - it's been close to a year since the last ride. Anyhow, it was riding great until I noticed the front brake sticking after about 15 miles. Once I noticed, it got realy bad after another mile or so. I rode to a gas station, couldn't push it so slowly rode it under some shade and waited. After 20 minutes, all was good again. It was 90 degrees today. I rode home without using the front brake (only about 2 miles) and had no problems. Obviously, something got hot and caused something else not to work. Anyone know what happenned? Anyone know what I should do? Thanks. I'm off to search the archives. |

Anyone know what I should do? It's LONG overdue for some new brake fluid. Clean all of the crap out of the master cylinder before you drain it. DOT 4 shouldn't be as susceptible to this as DOT 5 was. Once you have NEW fluid in and it is bled up properly you will be good to go. 1313 |

1313 - Thank you. I just did that; can already tell the brakes feel much better. Forgot to mention that when the brake stuck, the hand lever had no give at all, as if it was fully squeezed. I'll give it a good ride tomorrow to check everything out. Just for my own info, what's going on when it freezes when hot and releases when it cools back down? Thanks |

water or moistuere in fluid expands when hot, contracts as cools. think of steam. tim |

Did you pull the master cylinder apart? Even if the fluid expansed it should have released back into the master's resevor You lever may have been binding and not letting it return fully. Bettermove this to the KV or the cops will get us.... Brad |

Fogcity- My '99 did that twice until I bled the brake real good. No problems since. |

Does your bike talk to you? As I was riding to work this morning I was thinking that I hadn't had a flat on a cycle since I was in college, that was about 30 years ago. When I got home this afternoon I noticed I had a piece of wire sticking out of the rear tire. I thought that was rather odd to have that thought this morning the same day I picked up some road debris. |

Here's another General, yet Specific question. Does Buell have a European delivery program, as in take delivery of your bike in Europe, then ship it home at the end of the stay? |

If they don't,they should.I would love to buy a Uly,ride around the alps etc for awhile, then ship it home. And if they need volunteers to test out the program,I am available--- |

So what's it worth: 2001 black M2 with 6250 miles, no mods other than factory race kit and 42mm flatside carb, never dropped, and a bit over a year left on the extended warrenty? |

About $4900 according to Kelley's Blue Book without factoring in the mods. Most of the folks here think the KBB numbers are a little on the high side. That may be because a lot of people here bought from owners instead of dealers and pounced on good deals. I sold a 2000 M2 with about the same mileage for $4,500 this spring. http://www.kbb.com/kbb/Motorcycles/Default.aspx Jack |

hi all, hope this is the right place 4 this.i am pat, have a new uly.i love it,scootin has really come alive 4 me again. i am looking 4 sugestions 4 a safe cruise control , preferably electronic, that will be adaptable to the uly. i have a 70% disabled rt. hand and am only good 4 about an hour of constant grip be4 i lose my front brake ability and about 2 hr. be4 i am in real discomfort. i am good at gerryrigging but am a little fraid of the fuel injection. i have already devised a friction lock that is barely ok, but leaves a lot of room 4 improvment. have also considered moving front brake to left side. is this feasible. any ideas? thx caddypat. |

Patrick: Maybe a thumb brake would work for you. Diablobrian had a thread going about just that awhile back. Do a search. Also, here are some links which may or may not apply to you, but maybe there are some ideas you could use: http://www.ama-cycle.org/roadride/DISBresourcelistings.asp http://www.micapeak.com/pages/mlist.html http://www.mtb-amputee.com/motorcycleamputee.htm Henrik |
