performance bikes magazine (from UK) in current issue (sept) have buell xb12r project bike into adrenalin-moto (trojan horse racing) xb12x racebike. its a new series .. they will develop it in order to give at least 150mph (trying to get to 165mph), but on the cheap & making it reliable. looks promising for buelligans. its coming along if japbike lovers wanna make it as fast as an r1 (see article). |

We have worked quite closely with Performance Bikes this year, and it was through them that we managed to secure the services of Phil Read to race our bike There should have been more articles about the race bike. One was written and photos taken at Mallory Park earlier in the year but this got pulled to make space for another feature unfortunately Maybe it will appear later. The Buell project that the magazine planned is looking a little shaky at present because of time constraints and magazine deadlines. What started out as a very ambitious project has been watered down quite a bit already, so I'm not sure what the final result will be. At least it has highlighted Buell in the magazine though, and our bike is still the 9th fastest bike around the PB test track at Bruntingthorpe. Still ahead of some very auspicious sports bikes (Ducati 999, GSXR 750, Triumph 675 etc) even though top speed is somewhere near 20mph slower in top speed than almost all of the top 20 bikes |

Next time you speak to the people at PB Matt, tell them the £2.99 sticker on the front cover is a joke. I don't object (strongly) to paying £2.99 for any bike magazine, but for a magazine to highlight the price by making the £2 bold and the 99p tiny looks like they're out to con the unsuspecting purchaser. I don't like handing over £2 to the counter person then been told I've not handed over enough money to which I argue, no actually, it's not £2.99. There's a large sticker says £2 on the front cover, until you look much closer. Off the soap box, ta. Rocket |

"...we managed to secure the services of Phil Read to race our bike. " Phil Read! If you can't get Hailwood, get Phil Read. I love PB and I'll be following this story very closely. Good for Trojan! |
