Yo JOhn. I am just happy ya can say "my Buell" again. I'll ride the S2 to Barber's tomorrow. Is yours a '95 John? Does it have those 2 plastic guides on the front fender for the speedo cable? Mine won't stay popped in to the fender. Ideas? The '96s used a cable band like ya see on later Buells. DAve |

Ted's? The dealership with the sign out front but no Buell bikes, gear, parts, accessories, nothing? Ask about a Buell and (if they don't just ignore you), they'll try to sell you a Sportster or a CBR? That Ted's? They do have an HD Destroyer on the showroom floor tho. |

Ride...Saturday...August 19...9:00 a.m...Eureka QT... We will be leaving the Eureka QT at 0900 this coming Saturday morning and riding about 120 s'miles to lunch at The Branding Iron BBQ in Farmington MO...I keep hearing raves about this place as various people try it either for the first or more times...It is apparently giving the Warehouse BBQ a run for it's money and the serving sizes are as huge as the Warehouse's...As you know, at the Warehouse two can easily split a lunch order and not go hungry...So please join us if you can... Thanks, Bob |

A few things... Ted Drewes on Chippewa tonight at 2000... St Charles Chuck-A-Burger "Bike Night" tomorrow night at 2000... BS Rally is rapidly approaching... www.youngprops.com/bsrally Friends of Freddies rally is Sept 29 - Oct 1... www.mosilhsta.com And you can find out about all the local rides/fun at: http://autos.groups.yahoo.com/group/MO-SIL-HSTA/ Seth...We no longer have a BRAG club here since we lost our sponsoring dealer but we have merged with the HSTA group...Have no fear about the "H" in the name as only about 30% of the scoots are Honda's...As a matter of fact, one the the St Louis HSTA officers rides an Uly...And, boy, did you pick a good area to settle in for riding...The roads mostly to the south of I-44 and on into ARrrrr are great moto roads... Thanks, Bob |

Looking for a Ulysses. Hello, I'm 34 years old and getting ready to buy my first bike. I have my license and have spent maybe five hours messing around on my brother's KTM 640. I'm looking at a KTM 950 Adventure or the Buell Ulysses. I'm 6'6" tall so I need something with size. I'd appreciate any thoughts on the Ulysses for tall riders. Also, where can I sit on and possibly ride a Ulysses around here? Thanks. |

Ameer...Most of us who had Buells and some that still do can be found at the Missouri/Southern Illinois Honda Sport Touring Association site on Yahoo Groups...The URL is: http://autos.groups.yahoo.com/group/MO-SIL-HSTA/ Be not fearful of that first word "Honda" and we are truly multi branded...Only about 30% of the membership nationally ride red...And the big reason I point you there is that one of the MO-SIL state directors, Steve Long, rides a Uly...Can't speak for Steve as to letting you ride it but I'm certain you will be able to sit on it, at least...Just don't get it clean...BTW, Steve is in lust with his Uly... Or call me on my cell at 314.330.6732 Bob |

Anyone up for an evening of racing at the new indoor track: http://www.grandprixspeedways.com It’s located in Earth City just north of 70 (on the other side of 70 from Dave and Busters) Races are $25, plus a license (30day license for ~$13, 1 year license for ~$20) or I have a few one-day licenses passes. For every 3 people, the fourth races free, a big enough group gets better discounts. The tracks are a 1/4mile euro-layout, the karts are Italian electric (0-40 in under 3 seconds at the fastest setting). Someone forwarded me $10 coupons good for this weekend only. A temp license and one race ($37.90 value) for $10. |

Looks like the riding season is over, but are there many Buellers in the STL area? I've not seen many on the road. |

>Looks like the riding season is over, Why would you say that? I went out a few hundred miles with a small group on Sunday and I'll be ridding to work everyday that there's no snow and it's over 25degrees. 'course my Buell hasn't been on the road in over a year, but my wife's Blast! sometimes hits the road. Put a shield and heated grips on that thumper and keep riding! |

I've been riding to work too, but this week looks pretty chilly. I've considered the grips but the shield is hideous! I'd like to ride with a group of experienced riders to get pointers and tips, but don't have any leads. |

Hideous is better than nothing, but some of the shields that could work (check the Thumper pages) aren't that bad. Check http://autos.groups.yahoo.com/group/MO-SIL-HSTA/ for local ride info If we get a warm weekend in Nov (my wife's blast doesn't have a shield either) maybe we can make our own group ride. |

Dirk... We're riding this weekend from the Eureka QT...Kickstands up at 1000 hrs on Saturday, Nov 4...This is our regular 1st Saturday ride and we'll be going to Cuba MO via some back roads for great BBQ...This distance to the lunch stop is about 150 s'miles...Come on out but just remember to ride your own pace and don't get caught up in the "bigger dick" thing...It crashes riders more often than not...There will be many who will be glad to show you the ropes and try to see that you have a fun, safe time...I'd be more than happy to do so... Hope to see you Saturday, Bob |

I've got Dave Olsen (the guy who got soaked on the Gixer for his first time out a couple rides back) ready to go Sunday also. I was thinking maybe MbA would ride her Blast! but we'll have to see. 1830, isn't that the restaurant in Ky?

Dirk08, any thoughts on Sunday? Bob, I might be a little late (10/15min) on Saturday due to reasons beyond my control, but I'll try my best to be there by 10. |

Then you're lucky we live in Illinois! Coincidentally, I'm trying to get my folks (also in IL) to go riding with us. Mom's finally trading my old Sportster (96 Hugger 883/1200) for a new "military" one, but still no 'shield so she won't go that far in the cold. |
