I had a great weekend at a Historical TT in Vlagtwedde. Beautifull classical Motorbikes ridden by even older Motorbike riders. All motorbikes are build before 1965. classes 50, 125, 250, 350, 500, 500 + classics (build before 1950) and sidecars. Riders are from 18 years up to 80 years. Its hartwarming to see that the old riders are still as fanatic as they were when they raced in the 1950's. One of them I know well. Leen Rehorst. Dutch champion in 1956 and 1957 in the 250 cc. He is over 70 years old and still rides faster then most of the others. He started in the 350 cc and 500 cc on his 2 BSA Goldstars. in the 350cc he started as last and finnished 4th place. Everyone, including me, admired his racing style. I took some pictures: Leen on his 350 cc BSA Goldstar a "matchless" Matchless a Vincent sidecar Clothes are as old as the Rudge the fastest Guzzi (no tricks real photo) Tomorrow I'll meet all you Dutch Buellers on the race track at Zandvoort. The top pic there on the bridge looks like where I stayed last time I was in Amsterdam. I stayed at the Ibis next to Centraal station, about a block north of the Red Lights. |

Pangalactic, The bridge is at the other end of the Rokin. About the same distance past Dam square, as Dam square is past the station....... PPiA |

Hi Guys The Buellday at the racetrack in Zandvoort turned out to be fantastic. Tired, a lot wiser, but still cant get the grinn of. We are all back without a scratch. We had some doubts about the noise restrictions but everyone was allowed on the track. Even for me, on the TL1000S, Buell Benelux made an exception so I could ride. Great people, great organisation. Steve P. made this photo, that gives a good impression of the track. Its BIG and build for cars, but mostly smooth to ride.
