It sucked missing the ride on Friday, I had inlaws in all weekend. Since I was stuck at home "entertaining" I figured I would put my time in lock down to good use. This may interest some of the tubers, check out my newly modified cam cover. Here are some pics throughout the process.

Under the category of Dennis who??? I will finally be back in town this weekend, after being out on a two month job. I don't know what is up, where they will send me next, or how long I will be home. The 84 hour work weeks and getting up at 4:30 AM, was wearing this old man down a bit. BUT the checks were pretty nice! Dennis who?????? |

Well it looks like I'll be getting my new belt on next Wednesday the 6th. I'm taking Tuesday and Wednesday off to have an extra long weekend and my 26th bday is on Wednesday. I'm just going to take it super easy on her and hope she makes it to Topeka without throwing the belt off. I don't think it should be a problem. So next week I'm going to want to go out riding!!!!!!!! I guess I should probably fix the short in one of my tail lights, but I probably won't. Got to leave a reason to get hassled by the man! Ha ha. Tripper... I spent two + months in Coffeyville Kansas. No, not at Cesna! I worked about 1000 hours, it adds up quick doing 84 hour work weeks. I REALLY enjoyed the 106 degree days and the small motel room! I am back in KC, and it looks like I might be starting a job in downtown KC just a few blocks from my old job. If it ever stops raining... I hope to put some miles on the XB9 this weekend. The grandbaby is down from Iowa, and I will be looking to escape dirty diaper duty! I am really getting the Dennis who feeling. Gone and forgotten! |

{http://www.marchofdimeskc.org/,http://www.marchofdimeskc.org/} I'll be going with a group meeting that morning at Garmin. Everybody is welcome to join. $35 to ride plus donations from friends & relatives if you can swing it. Good cause. Babies are cool. |

Hey Larry, Queensryche is coming thru to KC on September 6th and they are bringing some B.A. Uly's! Check it out.... http://www.queensryche.com/vh1/index.html I guess they are riding these things across the county while they are touring. (Remember you are the one who introduced me to Queensryche!) I'm going to try getting the bike to Topeka on the 5th. If I'm up and riding I might be down with a trip to Gails for the ride and lunch. Anybody else? Bike has to be in Topeka at 2:00 on Tuesday. I can't wait to be riding again! Funny thing is now that I've missed so much riding time that tire that Sam gave me will probably last the rest of the season! Fellas, I am going to be back in Topeka for the Holiday weekend. Also, on Sunday, there is a Cassoday bike rally. Who wants to come with me? Here are the details on the rally. I think most of you have been before. http://www.cycleconnections.com/articledetail.asp?TypeID=3&ID=164 I would like to leave from Topeka and hit scenic HWY 177 south right into Cassoday. |

Here is my proposed route. From Topeka take K4 west to Dover and Eskridge. (NICE TWISTIES!) From Eskridge continue west to Alta Vista. (More curvey roads!) In Alta Vista, head south to Council Grove on scenic 177. Continue on 177 into Cassoday. (VERY SCENIC AND HILLY WITH SWEEPERS) When we head back from the Rally, people can go anyway they need to in order to get back home. But I will luckily get to take this twisty route all the way back to Topeka!! Let me know...I can email a map to you tomorrow. (Message edited by dtx on August 31, 2006) |

Tripper... Can't say. But there is a lot of big corporations in that area. You would not think... but big national and international players. A few of the people I interacted with had languages other than English as their first language. Countries in Europe. The country clubs there were nice. Ceo of this, President of that, VP of such & such, owner of... etc... |

How about we leave Topeka at 8:00 am. That should put us in Cassoday by 9:30-10:00ish. There is a BP gas station at I-70 and Wanamaker Road. (Same place you met me when we went on that K4 ride west of Topeka earlier this year). |
