I hear a couple of you guys talking about this. I'm trying to relate to Harley, where they hook the ECM to Digital Tech and remap it for say Vance and Hines pipe and a Screamin' Eagle A/F. They literally hook our stock ECM's to a Digital Tech and remap it for what we have? Where do I send it and how much does it cost? If i remap it for my Jardine and Buell Filter will it run better then what i already have, a Buell race ECM? Thanks in advance for all replies.-Brad- |

American Sport Bike Al can hook you up. Oops I missed the part where you had the race ecm. Al can remap either one. They should, in theory, be the same once remapped. (Message edited by pwnzor on August 30, 2006) |

Brad, In a perfect world, you'd use Directlink to remap YOUR bike on a dyno with YOUR combination of stuff. But the perfect world is a bit expensive. In a slightly less than perfect world, you get a map that was developed for the same combination of stuff you have but on a different bike. We have a map for the Jardine for the XB9 and XB 12, both with an American Sport Bike open airbox/K&N. The XB9/ jardine is in Beta test now, the XB12 needs a beta tester. The purpose of the beta test is to ensure that real world conditions don't skew the AFV. Race ECM, stock ECM, doesn't matter, the end performance is the same once it's remapped. For many, they choose to use the stock ECM so they can sell their race ECM. The only real issue there is the Stock ECM on a 12 expects to see either a servo or an emulator, the Race ECM or any XB9 ECM doesn't care about that.
