can anyone give me a quick run down on changing out the grips on a blast? currently i can slip the right grip off the throttle tube, but the dealer said something about having to adjust the cables and not simply slipping one off and replacing with new one. |

Slip off slip on - only on Buell specific grips would that be correct - the generic are as I said first. GT - JBOTDS! EZ (Message edited by ezblast on August 29, 2006) |

Slice the grips down the center with a single edge razor blade, peel them off and slide the grips (7/8") of your choice on. Ride. |

Yeah dirtbike grips do the trick pretty well. OH! don't forget that one grip will be slightly larger inside for the throttle side. (Message edited by natexlh1000 on August 29, 2006) |

The Buell grips come with the complete right side assembly and not just the rubber part. You remove the right side by unscrewing the switch housing and removing the throttle cables from the housing, then the new grip just slides right on. The left grip has to be cut off, and the new one glues on. It's a piece of cake. |

Buell specific grips have the throttle barrel - the Traction grips are the most comfortable grip I've tried out of the 12 different brands I've tried, so to me its worth the extra bit of effort. GT - JBOTDS! EZ |

Definitely! I love the Buell traction grips. I put them on my Uly a couple of weeks ago, and I just bought another set to go on my M2. I think it's actually a bit less work to replace the whole barrel because cutting the grip off and sanding down the dried up glue is a major pain. |
