Anyone try the lucas 20/50 motorcycle oil yet? Says it is safe for v-twins.... I was going to run it in engine and primary. Any thoughts? Thanks |

No problem in your engine but I would't use it in the tranny cause of the additives. |

What additives? And what should I use? I'm keen on using the same in both boxes.... Thanks |

There is no oil from Lucas that will suit your clutch plates or it must be the Syn P3 but it is as thin as water. Too bad the P3 is racing oil and not for street use. |

Lucas Oil will likely work fine (Redline and Amsoil all recommend their engine oils for the tranny!). But to be sure, send Lucas an email and ask them -- their tech's are likely bored and are paid to answer questions like this. Post the response as I'm curious as well. I'd recommend Mobil1 15w-50 in the engine and tranny. It's great oil, it's cheap and it's readily available.. |

When you have an answer from Lucas please post it over here, Whysohigh. The importer in Europe from Lucas sponsors me and he told me not to use it in the tranny. I hope it will work, Sloppy! |
