So I had a little warranty on my '06 seat (a small tear in the fabric) and BMC replaced it with an '07 seat. I didn't realize there was a difference, but the seat is now textured, which should help riding two by preventing my gf from crushing my boys in to the airbox on braking. Also, the seat is the same shape and still gel, but it seem firmer than my '06, which is fine for me, as my butt hurt on the '06 seat because it felt too soft. So far, after 100 miles, this one seems to be firmer and more comfortable. If it proves not to be comfy, I'll go to the Select seat next. Anyway, just some info in case someone is shopping for CityX seats. --Sean |

Is a tear in the seat a warranty conditon? I thought that would be like tires wear and tear... |

It was there the day I bought it and I picked-up the bike at night, sight unseen and didn't notice it in my excitement. When I mentioned it, Buell took care of me. --Sean |

funny you should mention the sliding of the passenger in to the driver. I went two up last night and every time I touched the brake or let of the gas I was compressed by her sliding forward. So I might need to look into that seat. I take its a direct swap, and do you have any idea how much they list it new? |
