I have a set of race plastics that came on my XB12R that I recently purchased. I'm looking to either sell them to buy original plastics or trade them. They have been painted the blue color that you see in the pics. Fairly professional job, but has some orange peel on the fairing and a few scratches/ scrapes on the front fender. Also where they've been mounted the mounting bolts have worn through the paint and you can see the original red color. My camera doesn't show the imperfections that well. I am looking for any color stock plastics. I want to keep this as a set, and Im not really looking for pieces at this time. pics: http://i94.photobucket.com/albums/l90/sterlingdecals/im003616.jpg http://i94.photobucket.com/albums/l90/sterlingdecals/IM003621.jpg http://i94.photobucket.com/albums/l90/sterlingdecals/IM003620.jpg http://i94.photobucket.com/albums/l90/sterlingdecals/IM003619.jpg http://i94.photobucket.com/albums/l90/sterlingdecals/IM003618.jpg http://i94.photobucket.com/albums/l90/sterlingdecals/IM003617.jpg http://i94.photobucket.com/albums/l90/sterlingdecals/IM003623.jpg (Message edited by jeepsusa on August 21, 2006) |

After visiting sharkskinz.com it is in fact fiberglass. From sharkskinz' "about us" section: "Combining special epoxy resins, primers and WOVEN CLOTH SHARKSKINZ thoroughly out performs the competition. Every piece of SHARKSKINZ bodywork is backed by our "No Spider Web Cracking" guarantee." Thanks Diablobrian for the info. (Message edited by jeepsusa on August 22, 2006) |
