My dealer called to tell me the side stand parts were in but says that I have the tall windshield information before they do. The windshield recall (#0831) was posted here about a month ago. Has anyone had this addressed by there dealer? | ||

there is a recall on the tall windshields. If your dealer will go to HDnet Go to the Buell section Click on Buell service bulletins It is the very top one! | ||

After performing the sidestand replacement my dealer told me that they could not find any recall information on the tall windshield but told me that there had been a notice that there would be a recall. Dave can you indicate what the recall details as the "fix"? KS | ||

When I called my dealer to pass on the info from Dave, the service manager found it and ordered the parts. Hopefully I have the sidestand and the windshield bolts done by next week. | ||

The fix is that they are replacing the bottom two "pins" with bolts so the windshield can't fly off. Have your dealer follow the steps I posted above and they will find all the info they need. | ||

So does this mean you can't go back to the stock windshield after the fix? |
