Hey guys, I havent been here in awhile cause mah little blast is thumping away. Though I have had some recent problems that I didnt have when I first bought her. My butt hurts alot after rides over as little as 50ish miles. I dont know what you guys do, but for some reason it becomes painful, sometimes into my back. I tried lookin' at replacement seat and I just dont have the money. ( prolly cause I bought the Jardine exhaust, jet kit, and an intake ) So basically some help would be much appreciated by my butt and my father who cant stand stopping every 30 minutes. |

I have had the high stock seat, and the low rider stock seat, both are uncomfortable. The high has a little more comfort, but not much. I swear by the Corbin seat for the Blast, I found mine on Ebay for $100, much cheaper than $350 new. It is in great condition. So that is my advice/opinion. (not a "guy")LOL |

Use the high seat and rear pegs on the highway. Move around alot, It doesn't matter what you ride, your butts supposed to hurt. I don't have that problem when I ride either of my kids Blasts. It may be that your seat needs to get broken in, put a few more thousand miles on it. One has 8K and the other 17K. Now a question for you Drfeelgood, how does your bike run with the Superglide carb on it? Did you do anything special to make it work? Thanks |

actually Swampy, dad and I just got done with the carb swap about an hour or so ago. I run it with the stock jets 42 slow jet with the screw a half turn rich, and the 175. We did what Gearheaderriko suggested and disconnected the accel pump until I have a whole two or three days to dial it in. But really I don't see enough difference to go through all that work. besides the acclerator pump works on a system that dosen't use a butterfly valve, it has some sort of vacuum operated mechinism that keeps too much gas from getting into the cylinder. Which is also lame. So yeah, aside from the hand enrichener, the swap was basically pointless. I think I will put the stock one back on until Buell miraculously releases a new performance carb or something. |

Do you have the low or high seat? You'll get as many different opinions about both.Try the other one. Temporarily trade if possible. I hate the high seat (The Nad Crusher)and its only good with high rearsets. The low seat, when not broken in, is much firmer and more comfortable, but my legs cramp up at about 100 miles. Ahhh..... but the Corbin....mmmmmm. Firm, but comfortable. Dr.-I'll see you at the carb section. |

Yeah, thanks for the help. It looks like i'll be trying to find a Corbin cheap somewhere. Until then I might just head to the upolstry shop and make my own seat outta the one I have ( the high seat ). I will tell you how that goes when I start playing around with it in the winter when I can afford to just not ride the bike for at least a week. |
