I was on a 1.5 hr scoot the other day and while on the highway Molly, that's her name, just shuts the hell off. Now I'm used to my wife doing that, but not Molly, we're too close. I thought perhaps the kickstand switch was the culprit as all I had to do was turn the ignition off and back on and she fired right up like nothing happened. It shut off three times @ highway speed, and by the third time I could have her running again without even stopping. Any suggestions or ideas? |

Good chance it is the kickstand switch or the bank angle sensor. Mine would do that and it was a broken ground, the one that attaches to the frame above the battery. It would lose ground only when I would hit a bump just right. Al |

It might be the ignition switch itself, if you have alot of stuff hanging from the key the constant vibration jiggles that key for miles and miles and the switch goes bad. Next time it does it don't switch the power off, just jiggle the key in its RUN position to see if it turns back on. |
