Would like to hear from those that have purchased a Corbin seat and what they think of it overall. Trying to find a cure for the numb butt caused by the stock seat. |

The stock seat was pure torture for me.. Low seat was better, HOT and almost too low for the Pegs.. I bought a used corbin and I like it. Seat height is near where the 07 is.. Corbins are hard when new.. I can tell where the PO's sat on it It is narrower at the front and reach is comperable to the low seat. Lots of room to slide fore and aft on it. MB |

Seats are a highly subjective item. One persons "torture device" is another's dream seat. You will hear good and bad about the Corbin. I for instance love the stock seat and believe it to be the most comfortable seat I have ever ridden on. One person on the board, who has since sold his Corbin and now Uly, said the Corbin was very uncomfortable. Unfortunately, you really need to spend some time on a seat to tell how it will work. Without that it is pretty much a gamble when you buy something. Good luck |

I keep trying the Corbin hoping I will grow to like it. I just did a ~500 mile ride on it and while I got used to the sliding around it was still too hard for my taste. I don't know what it is as I've really liked the Corbin seats I've had on other bikes. PM if you're interested in buying mine. |

I have had my CORBIN seat for 4K miles now and is just now breaking in. I find it a great improvement over stock seat that I had 6K miles on. The jewels were in pain in less than one hour with stock saddle. Have ridden as much as 8 hours in a 10 hour ride with only minor butt soreness with the Corbin. I'm 5'7" , 31" inseam and 155 lbs. I can reach the ground with both feet flat with boots. The Corbin Gunfighter looks great also. The 5 inch tear drop rise keeps me in place under hard acceleration. I never carry a passenger. Extra seat hight on back does not prevent Buell Top Case attaching to Buell Saddle bags. The one complaint I have with the Corbin is that tha rubber bumpers on the seat pan allows a 1/8 to 3/16 in. gap between seat and frame. Poor fit? It is much heavier than stock seat. For track days I would use stock seat as one can slide from edge to edge easier. Andre. |
