It is a gorgeous facility! Living in Anniston Alabama I get the occasional chance to ride over. Wonderful ride if you take the back roads and the facility will be different every time you go. TAKE you camera and have a few spare hours to tour the museum. You will find yourself "OVER-STIMULATED" from the moment you walk through the door! don't forget, no licking. touching or closely admiring of any exhibits allowed! |

Thanks for the updates. Ya its too bad more spectators don't come, the racing is good as any other, and you can get in to the pits around the riders etc. Spread the word come to the CCS/ASRA races. They have websites with schedules. It would be great to have spectators cheering the riders, maybe Daytona this fall?? |

well, they're packing up. Looks like the mutant took 1 DNF at the end, low-sided a teeny bit. But everyone's ok, including the bike, with damage primarily to the usual sticking-out-too-far pieces. All in all, not a bad weekend! Can't wait to hear the stories without the static! |

Thanks for the pics and info Wanted to go but the family needed some TLC at the house. I couldn't tell you how many track days and races the family has been to this past year. |

yeah coolice, it is to bad more don't come. pits were awesome! racers took pics and signed autographs. Kids would have loved it. I understand the website for CCS/ASRA races may have dates on their website, but Barber should have advertised a lil' more than they (didn't). The great weather would have produced a good turnout I'm sure. K |

Oh man, those are good pictures! Do you think I could have a higher-res one of Mutant Boy there with the bizarre pickup in the background for our next newsletter? Photo creds all yours, of course. He's gonna love that one. |

Looks like the Liberty crew got the dreaded exhaust scorch on the right side fairing. We've had that happen to us too... |

Gotta run and take care of a few things now that I am less odiferous, but just a comparison:
Here's The Mutant during practice on the XB12R, which we have dubbed "Old Faithful"
And now, the XBRR on the same section of track. We've decided to call the new bike "Winona", as a reference to Fasrscape. Plus it has Win in the name I guess you can safely surmise that the Ohlins suspension was dialed in properly. Ant said that you just point the bike in the direction you want to go, and it does it as smoothly as anything he's ridden before. Perhaps even better than anything he's ridden before. More to come soon. Chris |

man that bike is no joke , it is by fare the baddest bike i've ever ridden. and yes the body work has some heat damage. i still love my old bike but getting off the RR and then jumping on old faithfull is not easy . and thats must likely why i crashed . but the they both came home in one piece. |

I didn't see you lay it down in turn 6. I was disheartened when they announced it but glad all is well. I guess you guys got the transponder finally for that last race? I know "Buell" is a new name to some folks but it did irritate me each time the announcer called an XB12 an XB12RR or the XB1200RR an XB1300 or a variation of both. (Sounds like confusion with a Kaw?) Maybe I'm just over sensitive.
The XB1200RR sounds simply killer. Some more time in the saddle and things will come together. DAve |

Oh man, that transponder debacle was no fun at all! I thought Ant heard me yell that I needed to get it off the old new bike, but then I heard him take off! Whoops! After a lot of running around (and being indebted to Art from CCS), we got it straightened out. Yeah, we along with Walt Sipp got some bodywork scorching, but I just received a PM that may elevate that problem. Will try to get pictures up sometime tonight. Chris |

It was a delight to see Anthony ride/race the new XB1200RR this weekend. The grace he brought to the track was amazing and the confidence he showed taking the turns with it defiantly showed in all of my pictures. I look forward to his next race to be able to photograph him again when he graces the track with his presence on his new bike. After a goodnight's sleep I can say I'd do the solo 17ish hr car rides as well as the lugging 25+lbs of camera equipment around the track in the 90 degree heat and humidity again. Hopefully his next race will be a little closer so more of you could come to see. Ant has a gift. Now he has a bike to match his talent. I'd like to say Thank You Liberty HD/Buell for believing in Ant to make you proud on the track and Moose to keep it up to the standards it requires. |

Just reviewing the weekend's results at www.ccsracing.com; Buell racers garnered 12 podiums including 5 wins! Way to go Buell motorcycle racers! I especially found it very interesting that Dave Estok put a whooping on riders campaigning so many different racing machines, a BMW R1200S, a Suzuki SV1000, an Aprilia RSV1000, and a Ducati 996 in the Expert Supertwins class. The boy can obviously ride. Way to go Dave and Veach Motorsports! Nate Kern on his R1200S Beemer continues to impress as well. He certainly kept busy! (Message edited by Blake on August 15, 2006) |

This is buell rider 21ex, low-sided in turn 17. The corner workers were waiting for the crash truck.
