When I apply front brakes, no light. Rear brake light, turn signals and license plate light all working. Maybe something in the hand lever? |

Can you hear the little switch clicking when you use the brake lever? If not, it may be gummed up with dead bugs or something. My old sportster would gum up every so often with the leaky master cylinder. |

The brake light switch on my 01 X-1 is on the underside of the brake lever. Should be easy to unplug the wires and check things w/a multimeter. Ohm check on the switch, volts/ground on the wires to it. Should give you a direction to go in, depending test results. Good luck! Dave |

Chad, I think I might have another brake lite switch here at the house.... First, check to make sure that the wires are firmly connected, and that there isnt any broken wires(how I came into another switch) My wires broke in the area of the steering head... so, basically, trace them from the switch, and work back... You have my number... BTW, there is a ride tonight @ 6.30ish... if you wanna roll... Could use another D&D equip'd Buell... Chase |
