Brian, I kind of have no choice, the S1W was stolen the weekend of the fourth of july, and my S2 is all primed and ready for my cross country vacation. So the mini-bike is all I have to play with now.  I'll probably get a NRHS 1050 kit in it next month while I'm gone on vacation. sigh, it doesn't shake, rattle, and roll like the S1 did, but it sure hangs the corners well. It just needs a little more oomph! | ||

I've never had a vehicle stolen, just bits and pieces (stereos, etc). I know how pissed I was about that, but I just can't even imagine how bad it would be if some forker stole my ride.  | ||

Hey guys, good to see some people are up and about on their rides. Bart-Sorry to hear about the bike! Great pics, i'm sure it was fun, too bad i was up in northern minnesota camping, fishing, and swatting mosquitoes for 9 days! I know it's almost unbearably hot out, but if anyone wants to go riding this weekend, I'd be glad to have the company. i got a new evap vest and I haven't even used it yet! I'll probably go north thru yarnell and the spars. it's always a good ride. I'm thinking Sat or Sun early morn, probably leave the house no later than 6am. Any takers??? | ||

Kate, You know the SnotsdaleBueller, that's Kelly, you met him up on the BRAG rockies adventure last year. The rest of these guys probably can't get out from under the AC to ride out of state and enjoy some curvy roads. so you'll never get a chance meet them, and they'll never get a chance to see how hot you are on your Firebolt! | ||

I sure wish I could... Just replaced a stator and I don't completely trust the repair yet and I need to rebuild my forks... Damn... I ALWAYS have an excuse... That SUCKS! | ||

Thanks Kate, and yes you are HOT on you Firebolt! Well I haven't gone riding since I posted last due to more noises coming from my engine. It was so bad that it was louder than the exhaust. I drove clear across town just to drop it off at Arrowhead so it will get fixed right this time. They just told me that they ordered new heads, rocker arms etc. Basically a whole new top end. Hopefully I'll have it back by this weekend, and if so I am hitting the corners hard and fast. So if anyone wants to go speak up. Or sit at home twiddling your thumbs wishing you were out riding... -oh, I am going to the Enchanted Twisties Ride. I hope some of you can go too! Oh, I can probably fit another Buell in the bed of my truck if anyone wants a lift there and back... | ||

Aww you are so sweet! I just bought an X1 so I'll be riding that down instead of the 'bolt. It needs some work done on it, but I am planning on taking it down to the dealership to have the Buell tech look at it and "update" it for me ;o) It will be so good to see you again Kelly!! | ||

Greetings from the east coast! dudes, the weather has been great out here, I haven't seen anything over 85 degrees since last Monday, LOL deals Gap was great and the blue Ridge Parkway was even better. the S2 is running like a champ, and I'm sad it's all got to end this weekend when I head back home. brian, sorry about the dust, i guess i can relate since I've got about 5500 miles of road grime on the S2, and I'm only in virginia tonight, still many miles to go to get home. Aw, sorry Charlie... I'm back home now, but here's a teaser of my trip back east... Stumbled on this on the way to Deals Gap  this was at a dam on the Tennessee river.  Here we are at Deals Gap  And the famed Tree of shame, glad I left no parts for it. 318 curves in 11 miles, Sweet !!!  Here is the beginning of the Blue ridge Parkway in South Carolina  this is at one of the many overlooks.  this is along the parkway,  Mona on her Road King  We did the Kangamangus highway up in New Hampshire, and while up there, I stumbled on this town...  After all these miles, I think it's time I get one of these...  While in PA I dusted off some "toys"  I had a great time, I think we totalled about 6000 miles in all during two weeks of riding. I'll post all the pics in the tales section sometime later in the week. Y'all stay cool over there, and let's get together one of these weekends!!! The BRAG "wicked Twisties" event is coming up soon, anyone planning on attending? Go to the Buell BRAG site to register! Bart | ||

Well I am finally back on my buell, got her back from the shop on Saturday morning, looks and runs great. Can't wait till the break in is over so I can start to ride harder. Thanks to everyone for their input all those months ago about what parts to use etc. I think I made the right choice but only time will tell. Any on you in Tucson, ping me for weekend rides, usually Sunday is best. Later, Art..... |
