What a deal! '07 Ulysses seat (black/black) $109 (plus CA,tax.) I told the counterman he could expect to sell a few more at that price. |

California Harly-Davidson. I stopped in to buy a drain plug and casually asked if they had a parts catalog for the '07 Uly. A few seconds later one appeared still in plastic. When I heard the price I ordered one on the spot! |

Dang it! My dealer's closed... They had the '07 parts catalog also, but I guess they hadn't indexed the part numbers yet. I'll try first thing tomorrow. Thanks Teeps! |

it is the same bike, I dont know why it wouldnt. I might have to sit on one of those seats, and see how good it is. |

Lorazepam Posted on Friday, August 11, 2006 it is the same bike, I dont know why it wouldnt. I might have to sit on one of those seats, and see how good it is. Can't say how "good" it is, but it's lower and has a more rounded contour toward the front.

Does anyone know for sure that the 07 seat will fit the 06? For that price, I would like to try one. Even if it only gets me a half-inch it would be worth it. Then I could get back the slight height increase that the ScorpionSyncs cost me from the Dunlops. |

I was told by a Buell rep at Laguna Seca that he has an '07 seat on his '06. It fits. |

http://www.buell.com/en_us/bikes/ulysses/xb12x/features.asp I bought one today myself, a black one though I have the Orange bike and I like the two-tone seat. One reason is that the Triple Tail leaves marks all over the orange part of my stock seat. Second is that I want to get the Black flyscreen and airbox cover. Those with the black seat on my bike would trick people into thinking I had the less fast Uly! (Message edited by xbimmer on August 11, 2006) |

Yeah Bosh, but like you posted the seat seemed firmer to you than the '06. I'm fine with my stock seat for daily riding, 32" inseam so I don't have a problem, and I like the positioning while riding. For the distance though I think it's too soft. That's why I asked you about the firmness. Found out for myself on an '07 at the Rock Store later, felt really good and FAR better than the Low seat I bought along with my bike. The slight decrease in height is about an inch I think, my stock seat has softened up some so the difference under compression might not be so great. I just want a harder seat. |

Got the dreaded "Part is on BACK ORDER" call yesterday. Though I am not surprised, being that the '07s are not even at (CA H/D) the dealer yet. |

The parts guy at Dillon Brothers HD/Buell just got a CityX. Anyway, he told me Buell parts are very inexpensive. That in itself makes owning a Buell a long term value proposition. Try going to Yamaha, Honda and the others and buy parts. Arm and a leg. Really can piss ya off. Gotta love the Buell business plan: Treat your customers like family and provide value. I just made that up. |

What is the height difference between a low '06 and and the Standard '07? If anyone has tried both, is it worth changing? |
