Jackie, I wish you would put some of that energy into our motorcycle ride video project. All we need is a digital video camera, helmet cam, and someone with a brand new laptop and endless a.m. editing hours. C'mon buddy just imagine the hair band soundtracks you and Tank could compile! Give me a ring tonight if you're up and I'll give you the full details of my muzzloader cleaning saga. NUTS |

No pictures? You better stay on the down low a the Dragon cause' I am HUGE into taking pics to commemorate an occasion. Just ask Nuts. I will take pictures if I run to the store to get dip LOL! I hate to rub it in on ya' Tank but the Race ECM and Nuts' donated K&N made ALL the difference in the world. At first I just put on the ECM and it had a slight stutter and hesitation when blipping the throttle. Also seemed to bog down from first to second. I then added the air filter and WHAMMO, she was right as rain. Gotta get you one now before the trip so you can hang with the big dogs. Actually I'm sure you could hang with me even if you were on a moped . Now if you wanna keep up with Jason you better get a Gixxer. |

Gixxer.. Now that's low I have all the ingredients for the recipie, I just have to rely on my new friend to hook me up with a TPS reset, and hope for the best from there. I will be bringing my stock stuff to the mountain, just in case. Hopefully I can get a WHAMMO too! Tank |

No worries Tank I'll hook you up with the ole' TPS reset. Only cost you $30.00 too. I'm gonna charge Nuts $50.00 so you are getting one heck of a deal. Seriously though, It is almost too easy. I have done mine around 12 times just to familiarize myself with the procedure. Now back to those strong smells coming from you. Can't be any worse or frequent than somebody else I know but (Nuts) I ain't (Nuts) mentioning (Nuts) no names(Nuts). |

Boy "O" boy, Give Jackie alittle HP and he starts talking trash. Just remember, with this new found HP you'll be that much closer to smelly "OLE NUTS" going into the corner. Say do they call that drafting or is he just breaking wind for you? Just a thought.LOL.............Charlie |

I've seen most of this footage already but...I can't get enough of those power wheelies on corner exit. Let's see the "stunters" try that with 250 hp and a normal rear sprocket! NUTS http://youtube.com/watch?v=YdcsoninqBo |

Nuts, Nice video, Rossi is definetly the man. I could watch videos of his riding for hours. I have never seen anybody smoother than that guy. I would love to get to take a few laps on one of those bikes(prob. scare the h3ll out of myself)but it still would be a blast............Charlie |

Very impressive. A couple of years more experience and he may be able to catch Charlie. I'll never forget that ride we took to Paint Bank. By the time I caught up with the lead group Charlie had already hit the bathroom, had a soda pop and was ready to go again . Charlie, I took the bike out today and she was a beast!! It seems to make power all the way through the RPM range and then drop off at the top where the factory race kit didn't do anything until hitting top end. As I was rolling past the Orange Ave. entrance a CBR jumped on 581 right in front of me. I proceeded to fall into his trap by sticking with him up to 95mph and then I guess he figured that was fast enough. We rode to the Hollins exit together and then parted ways after a brief polite exchange. Dude had on a leather jacket, full face helmet and shorts with tennis shoes LOL. Coming back I met a Busa' on Elm Ave. When the light turned green that dude was GONE and I didn't even attempt it. It seems the loud exhaust makes people want to challenge the ole' girl. Tank, You just missed a new race ECM on the classifieds for 160 smackers. Shoulda put the house payment on hold and bought it. After all, what is more important some place to sleep or motorbikes LOL? |

Jackie, I am glad you are enjoying your new found power. The Drummer really does make good power if you add all the right components. Anymore mods will gain you a slight boost, but you will have alot more intake noise( some like it,some don't)If you cut up your airbox and don't like it, you haven't really spent alot of money to replace it,about 35 bucks. It really does add alot of noise pollution..........Charlie |

I saw the ecm in the classifieds, and one went on Ebay for pretty cheap, too. But I suppose I paid extra for peace of mind. If there is a problem, Dave will surely make it right. After all, what is more important some place to sleep or motorbikes LOL You'll have to give me a couple days to think about this one. Tank |

I figured it out... ...A place to sleep while on a trip riding your motorbike! Original movie line.. "what do you like better, having sex or boosting cars"...."..having sex while boosting cars" Easy to figure out...name that movie! |

Good answer Tank! So you already bought an ECM from Dave? I thought you just had the Drummer thus far. Are you bringing the ECM to the Dragon to switch out? Should be pretty easy on the Lightning since it was easy on the Bolt' other than the time it takes to remove the front fairing. Your gonna love it man! Uh oh! Sounds like Charlie may have a weakness for wild girls with crazy hair, big bossoms and pouty lips. Better keep that man away from Hooters! |

Jackie, My interests were leaning more towards the car,but I guess a fellow could be swayed. I think I totally missed the crazy hair, so much to look at and so little time, you have to set priorities....Charlie |

Jackie, Yep, got the ecm sitting right here next to me on the table, but no way to reset the tps. I'll be bringing it to the mountain(can't pass up a deal like $30). It should be real easy to swap because it's under the seat. Pop the seat off, two bolts, done. I loved most of the cars in that movie, oh and the wild hair 'n' stuff was good too.(Tomb Raider...mmm) Tank |

Neat link there Nuts. I didn't know if he was asking what type of tortoise it was so I didn't respond. If you want to impress the crowd with your reptile wisdom tell him it is a Testudo Horsfieldii aka Russian Tortoise aka Horsfields Tortoise. Neat little critters and he lives in the perfect state for year round outdoor maintenance. Them Bullfrogs on the other hand mean one thing only. DINNER LOL! A group of us from NC are taking a ride tomorrow. The plan is to go north into Virginia and take 58 over to Damascus. Then take 421 through Shady Valley back into NC. I don't know if any of you all will be in the area, but let me know if you are. Would be great to say hello. |

Jim, Thanks for the invite and heads up! Unfortunately we live quite a ways from that area of Va.. Shame ya'll aren't heading towards Roanoke because we are taking one of our prettiest and curviest routes tomorrow. Hope ya'll have a safe trip and keep us posted should you ever get up this ways again. |

COLD BLOOOOODED! You took all those pics and couldn't muster the energy to post em up. I'd keep those hideous HD dragon tank pics off here for fear of making someone nauseated. I was duly unimpressed with that work. As long as the owner was happy though. That was indeed a fine ride and has raised my Dragon anticipation more (if that's possible!) NUTS |

Can't get them shrunk down small enough to post and still be clear enough to make out anything. I'm gonna have to break out the hard core, pipe hitting software to go to work on the photos with a pair of pliers and a blowtorch. I'm gonna get medieval on them. True, the tank work wasn't the greatest but it was pretty good for around here. To get true life murals one usually needs to send his tins out of state. Your just mad because us hillbillies can strike up a friendly conversation at will. Course' you are excused since you are from Florida HARDEEHARHAR! |

I was reminded of how quickly you are to steal a brothers thunder. Case one: Dude on silver SV1000:"Look at that finish!" Torts:"That's just Line-X the truck bed stuff" Case two: Dude with crappy dragon tank paint:"There's an awful lot of carbon fiber on that bike!" Torts: Naw that's just the truck bed liner stuff, Line-X" All the while NUTS enjoys the attention the bug riddled, dirt covered, high mileage Lightning garners. Not to mention the rabbit punch comment "He's from Florida he don't know nothin about no black bears." That's alright, thin skin is not something I've been accused of having. COLD BLOODED. NUTS |

C'mon man I was promotin' that stuff. It was more like "Its' Line X". As in "ain't that creative"? You have sold me on getting mine done in several areas. Matter of fact, I was just down there thinking of a nice Stryper theme. Line X on the following areas. 1. Airbox cover to make a permanent tank bra. 2. On the passenger cowl area where my arse rubs. 3. On the front fender supports where they mount to the fork legs. 4. The mirror heads (Thats right sucka!). 5. The windscreen. 6. Headlight bezels. And to top it off a nice Stryper logo (as seen below without the writing on the top and bottom) right in the middle of the passenger cowl. By the way, I am being serious!
Also wanted to add: Somebody had to say something cause you just stand there in your stand offish Florida style and don't even dignify them with a response. Now put that in your pipe and smoke it buddy !! (Message edited by luvthemtorts on August 14, 2006) |

I see the bitchslapping began without me(most appreciative). From the few pics I have seen here, the "stuff" looks pretty good. I would stop short of putting the logo of a band on the bike, of which, the members are more than old enough to be our parents. I have this vision of a "bullseye" with circles radiating offset, from one headlight(the one used most often). I think that would fit the "bestest woodsman" perfectly, and keep to the band theme.
