...for my 04 12S because anything more than a couple hours on the bike has me sore. Who has had success with what replacements? |

I had the Streetfighter seat and now the Select seat on my XB9S. Both are much more comfortable than the stock seat. It seems easier to move around on the Streetfighter seat. The Select seat seems cushier, slightly more comfortable. Either one is a BIG improvement over the stock seat. |

corbin makes a nice saddle for your lightning. perform a search with the words "corbin" and "xb12" see what you come up with. My corbin equipped Lightning has had 4 weekend adventures of 1300 plus miles, and has on two occasions went a thousand miles in 22 hours and a few minutes, in relative comfort. ( you are stopping for fuel every two hours anyway, so its not like a marathon) |

Okay, not to sound like an arse, but anyone riding a 12S shouldn't be complaining about their seat. Spend a couple hours on the R. I'm not knockin ya. I need to upgrade my seat. I need a little more cushion. I've thought about doing it myself, maybe get an extra seat and play around with it, and then I also have considered just ordering the one from Buell. |

City-x seat works well for me, nice thick padding, can ride all day, extra leg room from added height is great. |

'04 XB12S with Streetfighter seat and my rear-end is happy again. My stock seat is somewhere in the basement, where it will stay! |

I ordered a Streetfighter immediately upon my return from a Blue Ridge Parkway/Deals Gap trip last summer. Wish I'd had it for the trip. Good luck, Bill |

Try the XB9SL seat. ouch. I have the select seat and it is nice. But I still think the Ss and SX seats are the best. |

I have the street fighter and I love it. I have ridden the stocker and agree that it is wicked uncomfortable. Don't know about the comfort of a corbin, I'm sure they work well, but they don't fit a seat cowl. |

i got a seat from hill billy motors for my bike. i have no problems doing 4-5 hundred mile days on it.(usually ever saturday or sunday.). believe it or not, this is the most comfortable seat i have had on any of my bikes. it is very firm and supportive.
