Check out the Vanson leather mesh, pricey, but very well made. Good to down about low 70's or high 60's. Can add a liner for the cooler days. SteveH |

Poke around www.fieldsheer.com. They have a jacket called the Air Speed IV that might be just what you're looking for. |

Check out motoport.com. The jackets are not leather but Kevlar mesh and after tons of research I am going to order thier pants and jacket for the summer. Supposed to flow great and better than leather. There are also options for Gortex winter liners as well. Not cheap but inline with Vanson |

Motoport is probably the best you can get. I have a Kevlar jacket and pants and the Air Kevlar pants and they breath great and are the best protection you can get. I just ordered a GP-2 suit for track days from them. Only drawback is the wait to get the stuff (usually 2-3 months) but worth it. It is not cheap, but better than having to buy 2-3 different jackets. Also, it is all custom fit and you can send it back for alterations. |

Does anyone have any experience with Motoport's Riva AX Kevlar Jacket? Is it as cool in the summer without the liners and as warm in the winter with the liners as they claim? I'm comparing it with Teknic's Siracco Jacket. Any feedback on those two would be much appreciated. |

Fieldsheer mesh/armor is very good. I live in south florida and it gets pretty warm. Try the website for more info. |

I recently purchased a Kushitani R.T. jacket that is amazing. It is hands down the best leather, aside from my casual Ralph Lauren jacket, that I have ever felt. It is leather mesh in the front that flows a ton of air, but it comes with a windstopper zip in vest that takes care of the cold. The jacket comes with K-foam armor that is softer and not as restricting, but if you prefer, you can add the race armour. Outside of an actual race track I don't think you would ever need it. I also purchased the Kushitani Dragon riding pants and they are excellent. Mathew Miles, the Managing Editor at Cycle World recommended Kushitani and I have no regrets. I also own Vanson and Icon jackets that now collect dust in my closet. |

Where is Fieldsheer from? If they are not American, why does the price show up in US dollars when I hold my cursor over the photos? |

Fieldsheer (I believe) is originally from the UK. However, I'm sure they have a 'US' division as well. After all, they used to list only european sizing on all their products. I think they may have changed it to include the closest "a'mer'cun" sizing now as well.. Not sure which website you're looking at, but I didn't think they had prices at the 'main' site. |

Anyone have experience with Rev'it? The Airforce Mesh looks good for summer (especially here in Texas). See: http://www.revitusa.net/ |

I have a joe rocket mesh and it works really good. I rode with the rain liner in to the U.P. of Michigan in 40 degree weather with a sweat shirt underneath and didnt get cold. I have rode in 90 degree weather with just the jacket and tshirt and felt fine. |

I just purchased the Joe Rocket Rio Mesh Jacket from NewEnough.com for under $60. It is fully armored, has a nice fit, is inexpensive, and is fully mesh. Check it out. I love mine. |

I have a Shift Mesh jacket and a Alpine Stars. The AS is more comfortable "form fitting" but breathes less air. I wear the AS most of the time but when it is SUPER HOT I wear the Shift. Bot are first rate quality/armor/etc. The AS will move with you more. |

I did a fair amount of research looking for a good compromise between comfort and protections and decided to order the Rev'it Airforce jackets for myself and my wife. We are very happy with them. They may not flow as much air as some other jackets, but the mesh is much more abrasion resistant than anything else I have seen. |

Does any one have the XRVM jacket on the buell website? http://www.buell.com/en_us/gear/apparel/Product.asp?Menu_ID=1&CategoryID=4&Produ ctID=2129 Just curious thoughts and opinions, it seems reasonably priced, and I can get %10 off from one of the sponsers. Vanson. I bought the full leather w/front perfs. Built like a tank, but got hot to wear a few weeks ago. Buy a long sleeve Underarmour "heat gear" shirt to wear underneath jacket. Does a great job of keeping you cool and your arms from sticking to the insides of the jacket sleeves. Up to a point, however. When temps got to high 90's/100's off came the jacket. Am considering Vanson's Cordura jacket if heat wave returns. |

I too am interested in the XRVM jacket. I might get one thrown in with a CityCross but I haven't heard anything about them and may be the guinea pig. If anyone's got info to post please do before Monday. |

Do a search for the either the vent, or air max 3 jacket. Someone on here was raving about it. It is the same jacket, minus the Buell logos. |

I have a FirstGear Kiliminjaro (yellow and black) that works great. Well armored, good mesh breathablitly and water proof rmeovable quilted liner. I used it as a ski jacket in the winter time and rode in 95 degree weather in the summer. I have shrunk and it is too large(xl). Anyway I do not know if this is the proper place but I will sell it for half price, plus shipping if anyone is interested. I hope to get another one that fits when I sell this one. |

I found the thread diablo was talking about and decided to go ahead and order one but I am not sure if the size will be right. I could go either way on a medium or large jacket but being this is meant to be a shirt more than jacket I chose a medium. I will let you know what I think when I get it. |

Buellballs, Just curious if you got the jacket, and how it has been working for you and how the size thing went? Hard Corps |

FWIW I have a fieldsheer Mach 1(?)full mesh with CE armor that works well in hot weather. I also have a Joe Rocket Reactor with perforated leather on the shoulders and down the arms with a mesh body that also breathes well. I also have the matching mesh pants for really hot days. Both work well with the sahara evaporative cooling vest. Neither has a good spine protector, although the J.R. is the better of the 2. My perforated firstgear leather 2 piece suit is about as good as leather gets for hot weather, but that's not saying a lot. |

Wish I could give a review on the jacket I bought, but it still has not come in. Too bad for me because the weather is heating up this weekend. I had called the H-D dealer two days ago too see if my seat or jacket was close to arrival and the guy asked me if it was a Vanson seat. I said, "No but is that Vanson jacket in?" Long story short they don't know where anything is or when they will know where anything is. |

Ive had the tourmaster intake jacket for a few weeks now and i think its great, I dont think it will be good in the cold weather even with the liners in but for 50 -90 degrees its good, with just the mesh its as close as you can get to wearing just a tee and it does have some decent armour and reinforcement where you need it. I was worried when I first got it it was about 85 out, I geared up started up the bike and as I was warming it up and putting on the helmet I started to sweat alittle thinking shi# then as soon as I got going about 10 mph I got a quick chill from being a little sweaty. The waterproof inner layer is nice too, no need for extra rain jacket. |

Well I talked to the dealer last week and they said expect word in about a month. This would have been nice to know before I ordered a summer jacket. If it does take a month then the jacket will only be a good decoration. I'm in the pacific NW so temps and precipitation most likely won't cooperate when october comes around. However, yesterday I got a call my seat came in so hopefully the jacket is closer than they think. |
