Medved1,he did say '98,but it's an S3 not an S2.It was good meeting you this week. Kdan,I usually pick the route on the spur of the moment and there are often roads involved that are still nameless to me.Sorry. The 8 am start time is to beat the heat. |

Hey SHRED! What did you ever find out about your tranny? My bike has started not wanting to go into third unless I'm getting on it. If I'm moving slow in traffic, it won't shift into 3rd, but if I romp on it and shift fast, it goes no problem. It sounds like what you were saying was wrong with yours. So what'd they do? |

i would love to go, but the bike isn't runnin right..... need TPS reset after Race EMC installation. damn thing rode like complete ASS yesterday, come to find out the ECM wasn't plugged up all the way, got that sqaured away and unhooked the positive from the battery for about an hour then took off for a little ride, it was doin much better. Not the madness it was putting me through before, more of an annoyance. It would hold on steady throttle much better not constantly jerk and shake, idles a little rough at about 800rpm, went out to get the bike in learn mode and was doin alright, seems like the problems i was having was due to a loose connection with the ecm. I still had the check engine light come on bout half way through the ride, but all that did was make the throttle a little more sticky/jumpy for on/off applications. I'm scheduled for a TPS reset tomorrow 4pm, see if that is the fix all....... after talking to a couple of others finding out how many problems have been had with the Race ECM, i'm gonna give the TPS reset one good shot, if that doesn't work, im gonna put the stock back in and find a better fuel management product..... any suggestions, what do ya'll use, whats everyone think about the dobeck techlusion TFI http://www.powercardtuning.com/ I'm all ears. I look forward riding with ya'll when i can get her running like she ought to. Later - BadHabit |

Badhabit, If your race ecm doesn't work, we will see about getting you a direct link remapped ecm to go with your Odie pipe. It cost a little more than a race ecm, but from what I understand it is the best system out there so far. Smokescreen |

Hey Buellish, What time do you think you will be at the place we meet you last time? What time you guys hitting TWO? My buddies are coming up from Conyers so it would be kinda hard for him to meet us in Alpharetta and over to your side of town by 8 AM but I would like to hook up with you guys up there at some point so Kdan can ride FAST with you guys. Which direction are you making the loop? We were planning on doing 129-Wolf Pen-TWO-60, (at least I hope I have the roads right) leaving Alpharetta Haynes Bridge & 400 at 8-8:30ish |

Oh yeah, guess I need to add "weather permitting" since me and my buddies are "fair weather riders". Kdan, rain or shine, (short of major T-storms), he'll be there. |

Drift, sounds like you are going in the opposite direction than us. Course ours isn't written in stone I just don't like to ride on a full stomach and since I'm such a novice, I like to start slow and work my way up the twisties. |

Guess I'm reduced to riding with my squid friends. Damn! Essentially that means that I will spend the day alone in the twisties. I guess I think of worse fates... Ya'll be safe. |

Smokescreen, can they remap a customer's stock ECM for the Odie pipe? If so, do you have any idea how much that would cost? I still have my stock ecm, and might be interested in doing this if it matches up better with the Odie pipe than the race ecm. (Message edited by ratyson on August 03, 2006) |

YEs they can flash your stock ECM. I will have to look into it after my long weekend which starts tomorrow. I'll call Al at American Sport Bike and see what we can work out. I'm still pushing to get the dealer here to just by the software and patch cables, you all would just have to buy the key for your ECM. I'll post more as soon as I find out. Smokescreen |

Kdan, Speed shift....speeds shift Thats what I've been doing.Brian the tech said the same. He took it on a test ride last thursday. I've been telling him for 6 months about it after they worked on it. They warrantied the clutch. I paid for a clutch adjustment later as it was still doing it. Brian is going to wrench on it, he be the man. |

Kdan, I tell you the whole story later. Buellish, I'll go on that ride...It would be like old times.Glitch and I met you at that QT a years ago before the 3%ers were even thought of. Dave and I met, started riding and most people didn't know what XB's were. I always enjoy riding with you. Maybe Shelley can ride too. (Message edited by shred on August 03, 2006) |

Smokescreen For those interested, I am going to be the beta tester for the American Sportbike premapped ECM for the 9 with the Jardine pipe. Al is sending everything out on Monday or Tuesday and I will begin testing as soon as it arrives. He thinks we will nail it after a couple of test sessions so hopefully it will available soon. I currecntly have a nasty flat spot at 4500 and he also thinks we should be able to get rid of that as well. This is caused by the race ECM leaning out at around 4500 where the race pipe has a dip. I can't wait to test this thing and get my bike running as good as I know it can. Besides, I can't stand following my buddies R1 in the mountains anymore. I would love to come out and tag along but my son has taekwondo. Make sure you drink plenty of fluids other than beer, it's hot out there. I can't wait to sweat to death during the ride home. |
