I saw in intersting set-up on another "not to be mentioned" board involving an XB with GSXR 750 lowers and dual disc front brakes. Got me to wondering if it would be too difficult to run the XB upper forks and triples with the GSXR lowers and cast alloy wheels. Any thoughts? | ||

Hmmm, I am guessing more stopping power for the track.... Lake, Yes you can, the tripple's pin from the XB is the same diameter as the pin in the tripple of our tubers... | ||

Lake,that was me. I stopped by the pits with Terry Parsley and we were asking about the bike. One of the mechanics told us about the swap.Sounded like a bolt on. | ||

It's the tuber wheels that concern me the most. I'm guessing that some spacers custom spacers would be needed. Maybe different wheel bearings to accomodate the front axle? As for why.....because I can  (Message edited by lake_bueller on August 03, 2006) | ||

why couldn't you buy another rotor, caliper, and line with splitter and just bolt it right up to the tuber wheels, don't they already come with holes ready for this??? | ||

Some new spacers will do ya right and a bearing store will be able to get ya what you need in that dept. You may also be able to bolt the GSXR rotors right to the wheel, if not, gte some EBC for left an right and space out the calipers if needed... Now is the lower GSXR fork tubes there running a bolt in onm the XB tubes or the Ohlins that come on the RR?? | ||
