Got mine last night. I'm impressed (WHich I cannot say for BMW and the MiniCooper I had last year-know problem and they would do nothing to fix it). |

Thanks Teeps. I was just trying to poke a little fun at BMC. I will go sit in the corner now for my time out period. |

Mine came yesterday. Ulywife, did your clutch cable break? |

Roadrailer - the clutch cable has not broken. I'm can't remember what symptoms the Uly is showing. I'll have M2nc (aka - hubby) post details tomorrow. Kristi (Message edited by Ulywife on August 04, 2006) |

I just got a call from my dealer, Uke's in Kenosha, Wis. They have the recall parts in and I scheduled an appointment for tomorrow. (Sat) That's a day before I leave on a trip. Love it when a plan comes together. |

Roadrailer - The cable is not broken but as of last weekend it seems to be harder to pull and snatches as I pull it. I suspect the cable is frayed somewhere along the cable and is catching on the liner. |

So what's the deal with the dates on the recall notices? I just got the 5k service on my Ulysses and the tech said that they checked the VIN with the factory and that the bike was not on the list. My bike was built in March '06 as well. |

Looks like this recall is about to breathe it's last gasp, as I got a call from California H/D today. They have a repair kit for my bike and I didn't even buy it from them... Next Wednesday it will all be a memory. Now, about those crank nuts? Anyone get their nut torqued? |

Anyone get their nut torqued? I don't discuss such things on motorcycle forums. |

Well, talked to the dealer today. They were not aware of the recall, said they would get back to me. Two hours later, they called and said yes they had one kit in and they put my name on it! Scheduled a date to have it installed. Boy I have had only good experiences from this dealer; Gover HD & Buell, Piqua, Ohio. |

I hate to reopen this again, but I need this recall done to my 06, and the dealership is saying there isn't a recall! I said, "Badweb bikers say there is!!!" He said, Uh?? So, is there a link or something I can print out? thanks |
