My recall notice for my sidestand was in the mail today. It stated that parts should be available at the dealer, the week of August the 14th. They claim it will take aproximately 1.5 hours or less to complete the repair. I guess they forgot to send the notice on my windscreen. |

Cool....as soon as I get mine, I'll make an appointment. I'm picking my bike up after a 3 week and 2 day stay at the shop. I'm not ready to take it back anytime soon. |

I got mine also so I called the dealer. They told me they'd call as soon the "wave shipment" of recall parts showed up. |

Yea, mine showed up today too. My dealer says they do not expect the parts until the 14th or so. We'll see. |

Chad, They said that they would go ahead and do mine while it was in there. I forgot to ask if they did the recall already or not. I'll check tomorrow and let you know. If they already have the parts, they might as well do it while it's there. |

Got mine also. I'm hopeful that I can get the parts so I can do it myself. Big hassle for me to take bike to shop (80 miles away)and then go back again to pick up. David |

Talked to my dealer today also. They were not aware of the recall but said they were ordering the parts, to arrive sometime near the 14th. The dealer will schedule a time to perform the recall after receipt of parts. BTW - My VIN was not listed as part of the recall - March production. Sounds kind of weird to me?? |

I called customer support last week and they said there are no recalls for my VIN (build Feb 06). I also asked about the tall screen and he called back saying that they don't have the recall service procedures done yet. |

Got mine the other day and the Motorcycle owner card has only three possibilities. 1 If you sold the motorcycle (let them know). 2 If the motorcycle was stolen (let them know). 3 service was performed as follows (dealership and owner sign off). What do you do if your brother-in-law totalled your bike? Ok I know it is just a remote possibility but I like think outside the box. |

Got mine and the dealership had no knowledge of the recall when I checked 10 days ago. Guess a repeat call/visit is in order. |

Either way HD would consider the bike as non existent, if title branded totaled.

Well, the original owner of my Uly got one this week. I guess Buell has still not seen the change of ownership card (from the back of the owner's manual) I sent in 2 months ago. |

We got ours today. The Uly is due for its 10,000 mile service and needs a clutch cable. When I called and spoke to the service writer and started to rattle off 1 - 10,000 mile service, 2 - clutch cable before I could even hit 3, he says to me, "and you know there's a recall on the side stand on the Ulysses". Right you are, that's #3 on my list. So BIG KUDOS to Lee at Shelton's HD/Buell in Goldsboro NC!! Just thought I'd share something positive since we've heard so many negative things about some dealerships lately. My dealer advised me that my March 06 built bike is not part of the recall. might want to check again, the letter we received says "....stidestand of certain 2006 Buell model XB12X Ulysses motorcycles, built between March 15, 2005 and June 16, 2006. I think the only way I can be sure is if I get a letter The service writer quoted something from the HDnet site talking about bikes built in January. Might take a little longer for letters to get to us Aussie owners. |

Tel - It will be interesting to see how they handle Aussie owners. I don't know if they have to deal with your government agencies or if they can just fix your bike. |
