lets start by informing all who will be reading this post....it all started a long long time ago, this dam addiction like most who use it will end up bruised and hungry for more....which brings me to my point,I've been with out a dirt bike for a few years now and would like to get another one soon so the question at hand would be what are most of you motoheads riding in the dirt? I need help deciding on a brand, I like the yamaha and honda but then theres the new green guy, now those of you that are still reading forgive me and my A.D.D I'll try and stay focused. I forgot to tell you the readers that I've always owned a four stroke MXer and used to own a 426yzf untill the xb took all my time up. sorry for being all over the place. latter ty |

I just sold my dirt bike. It's the best I've ever owned, was sad to see it go. I thought it would be weird having only 4 gears but with that much power I quickly got over it. Only dirt bike I ever rode with more power is my brother's 1986 CR500 which is still a fine machine by any standards. Yamaha YZ450F

You can't go wrong with any of the big four and KTM. I notice a lot of RMZ 450's being raced in the outdoor nationals and would probably make that my choice if I were looking. Still happy with the ole KX. |

This picture reminds me of a redneck joke....What were the redneck's last words? . . . . . . . . . . . . . "Here, hold my beer and watch this!" |

Ya know, I think that's exactly what Shane was saying when the picture was taken! Was it the duct tape that made you think "redneck?" rt |

Dude, that was our good crystal! We had a couple of excellent kegs of home-brew that weekend, courtesy of BadWeb's own Hootowl. Of course, some guys just don't know when to quit...

I like to ride my DR650. Being street legal I can take it out on errands and still does ok in the dirt. It doesn't do much for power but can hit 100 if I didn't have the knobbies on it. I wanted the DR400Z for the power and handling (also street legal). But not as comfortable as the 650. |

Iamike, be sure and ride a DR400Z before you get too excited, not too peppy. 450...good! Hmmm, liquor, coke, beer and vodka, looks like the 4 basic food groups are covered! |

the drz is pretty underpowered, i thought it was pretty nice too, but then i rode one of the husqvarna and that made the drz seem like a dog. |

Having the spirit of a Buell owner, you might wish to check out an "American Dirt Bike". http://www.atkusa.com/ ATK bought the Cannondale design. ATK then improved it, refined it and seem to have created a winner. The Cannondale motor is Fuell Injected, Electric Start and features a "Reversed" Head. The exhaust port is at the rear of the head and the intake port is at the front of the head. They even have an annual Homecoming event! (No, I do not have one, and I have never seen one in person) |

Homestead bike is 2002 XR250, will go anywhere slow, tops out around 75 on open ground all around good clean fun. the RACE bike is a 2006 KTM 250 SXF, which is a bunch of fun on a motocross track, stone stock will outrun any thing in it's class. |

CR250R here. That has been my choice of dirtbike for 15 years now. Will post a pic soon. It's all black like the XB. I think I've got a thing for black bikes. I should see a shrink. |
