This could be made to fit the ULY? http://www.harley-davidson.com/gma/gma_product.jsp?PRODUCT%3C%3Eprd_id=845524448 768901&FOLDER%3C%3Efolder_id=2534374302289267&ASSORTMENT%3C%3East_id=25343743022 89267&bmUID=1153871399532&bmLocale=en_US |

Hmm that yoga class must be doing you some good. Love to see you check that while riding down the road. I would rather know what is the temp of my cylinder head. |

You don't even want to know the temp of the rear cylinder head. Right above the combustion process, keep you awake at night. |

Actually, I think something like that would be cool. Needs to be smaller and black though. Maybe black anodized aluminum. I like the oil level feature more than the temp. Good project for Electaglider to meditate on. |

135 bucks for a dipstick is a bit steep IMHO |

I had a Dodge van once that had a thermistor on the end of the transmission dip stick. When the transmission fluid got warm the resistance would drop (or increase?) and the low transmission fluid light would go out. If the fluid was low the light stayed on. All kinds of potential for gadgets made with thermistors and they are dirt cheap to buy. That is probably what turns the noise on and off the Buells that have a heat activated noise maker. Or is that a fan? Jack |

Electraglider, No need for such gadgetry. When the Uly gets hot, the fan comes on. When the Uly gets too hot a light comes on on the dashboard and the engine protects itself from overheat damage by alerting you with the light and altering it's ignition timing. No worries, just ride it. WindRider |
