Spoke with my local dealer today, got him down over the phone to $9500 on one of they '06 xb12s'... We all know dealers are dealin to get them 06's out of there to make room for the 07's... Anyone here of a better deal on a brand new '06? Just curious before I go in... Thanks folks! |

Really? Hmmm I'm curious, what the normal retail prices like out of CA? Any examples would be great... Here it's exactly what the Buell site shows for retail price, $10,495 for the 12's... I was thinkin cuz it's a brand new bike, no miles, that an "end of year" sale like this might be an opportune time... $9500 don't sound too bad to me, but I'm gonna try for closer to $9k... We'll see |

Hmmmmm ya that'd be like waitin till next April to get the '06 from them... That'd be a fair price by then on an '06. $8650ish is what they get the 12's for from the manufacturer. At $8700 their not even recooperating their total costs considering shipping, etc.... Would be nice though |

I paid $6995 OTD in June 2005 for my '04 XBS with 2 miles on it. If you really hunt you can find super good deals. |

Ride 365...I dont know who you get your info from as far as dealer costs, but they are wrong. Your looking closer to 9,100 on a 12s. If you find one for 9,500 you better jump on it. Your not going to find a better deal on an 06 this time of year, plus you still have at least 3 months left of good riding season!!! I say you get it before someone else does. |

I paid $9500 on my XB12S last December. I thought it was a good deal. I lost track of how much money I've spent on it since though... -Ras |

I also got my 06 XB12R for $9500. In March, I thought that wasn't to bad of a price. |

Remember that CA dealerships have a sweet deal going. You cannot purchase a bike cheaper in another state and bring it in and register it. It has to have a minimum of (I think) 3500 miles on it to be brought in and registered. Add to that the requirement for CA emissions equipment and they have a captive audience. You can't compare prices from other states and get a realistic idea of prices. I think if the dealer kicks in the extended warranty for that price you're doing pretty good. There may be more room for negotiation on warranty and gear from the shop (helmet?) than there is on the price. I'd work that end. YMMV |

I got my brand new 04 XB12R Firebolt in July/August of 05 for $7000.00 out the door (11 miles on it, untitled). That $9500.00 for an 06 SS does not seem too bad, I would try to get them to 9K even or have them throw in some bags or accessories. |

I got quoted $10,000 for a 12R! I have to look around, because that seems to high for "year old" model! For that price I'll just wait for the '07 model with Cherry Red wheels - that's what I real like! Near me there's a '06 CityX for I believe +-$9K... |

<Remember that CA dealerships have a sweet deal going. You cannot purchase a bike cheaper in another state and bring it in and register it. I knew someone would have the correct mile figure, thanks. I agree it is a gestapo tactic. They have eliminated all out of state competition for new vehicle sales, so the prices you bought for in any other state are completely irrelevant. |

My father-in-law only gave $9600 for my Lightning Long. And it was ordered... had to wait on the assembly (roughly 2 months, it turned out). Granted, we had to take a weekend trip to Florida to pick it up, but it was worth it. Purchased from H-D/Buell of Ocala. ~SM |

In my area, they are knocking $1500 off the 06 Buells which puts the cost at just under $9000 |
