I changed my fuel filter and my Air Intake Temp sensor (in an attempt to rid myself of a hesitation) and now I get a code 15. Which is for Air Intake Sensor. But the light just came on, and as soon as I started going it went away. Could it jjust have been loose??? I hooked up the bike to the computer and it said it had an error code in HISTORY...When I inplugged the sensor, it went into the current, then plugged it back in and into the HISTORY it went. Should I be concerned??? Or just keep an eye on it?? Jason |

I once got an intermittent intake sensor code while riding so I started to experiment: Unplugging mine gives no code but a short to ground does make a code. I found that the sensor's wires were rubbed through to ground out. Look for chafed wires near metal. |

Clear the code and see if it resets. I would suspect you accidently turned the ignition on with the sensor disconnected. I've done that more than once at work. |

Mine didn't give a code with the sensor disconnected. |

It was the intermittant thing that got me. I will have to check the wires. As for clearing the codes, is there a way to do it OTHER THAN the 50 on/off cycles???? I have the software, but cannot for the life of me figure out how to clear the codes... Thanks Jason |
