unfortunately i have no life out side the internet... oh and work here in Iraq. It was really nice when my girlfriend was here with me. Any way seems strange that with so many bike people up in NY not that many clubs? i have found only a few other buell people and no Brag chapters in Rochester at all. must be the weather. god i miss So Cal. hope to run into a few when i get home though. FYI If anyone is thinking of getting a new Buell take time to check out HD of Utica. They are clearing out some new '05s and are selling them at $2300-3000 off of list. I am looking at a City X for $6395. www.hdutica.com |

Let me know when you're ready to go again. PM me if you need a hand with anything. I have seen a yellow XB9S around town,I'll flag him down one of these days and see if he wants to get something going locally too. I rode most of the winter because it was so mild, and I trained my kid to ride last year on a Rebel 250(now she wants a Blast).Gonna be a great summer. ....Mick |

hey guys, First time on BadWeB. Just found out about it at '06 homecoming. I'm in Brewerton, just North of Syracuse. I'm surprised to hear Paulson is in Syracuse and Highway_61 is in Redfield, a few guys in Rochester and Utica. Anybody in the mood for a ride, just let me know. |

Hey Buellny, My typical rides consist of hooking up with my buddy and his Ducati and blasting local roads for 2-4 hours. A few times a year we like to head into the Adirondacks for a whole day. On the other hand, I've always gone solo to BRAG events every year because I thought there wasn't any buellers around CNY. I did Pocono in 02, Carving NE in 03, Brag Canada's Cutting corners in 04, my buddies and I went to Lost River WV in 05, and the Buell homecoming in 06. Want to go too? Let me know. |

OOPS!! I probably should've mentioned this here. I moved back to Seattle a few weeks ago (May 21st 2006). I never did get a chance to ride with any of you, but it is cool to see that there are some CNY Buellers here on the BADWEB. Take it easy. Drop me a line if any of you are ever out this way. |

Hi, I'm from Pittsburgh. I'll be going to the Aderondacks this weekend and was wondering if any of you guys had any insider info on "not to miss" areas/hikes or rides. I'll be doing several of the "Scenic Byways" drives. I don't have any specific destination (the ride is the destination) but I would like to see the Lake Placid area and anything else you might suggest. Thanks for the help. I've never been in the area and anything would be useful. |

Where in the Adirondacks are you going? Adirondack park is pretty big and has a lot of nice roads to ride. Rt 10, Rt 30 and Rt 28 are pretty decent. Around sacandaga lake is nice also. 28N is normally pretty nice but was pretty torn up early this year. A normal loop ride for us is UP 9 to Lake George/Warrensburgh, then 28 over to Indian Lake, then rt 30 down towards Sacandaga and back over 67, to 9 in saratoga. can make the loop bigger by taking 8 in Speculator to RT 10, then get on RT 5 or 5s to come back towards albany along the mohawk river. Some nice twisties. Ilion gorge (rg 51 between ilion and cedarville) is nice http://maps.google.com/maps?f=d&hl=en&saddr=Jordanville+Rd,+Ilion,+NY+13357&dadd r=ilion,+NY+13357&ie=UTF8&om=1 Depending on which way you are coming from Pittsburgh and where in the adirondaks you are going you might be able to hit it on the way up/down. Taconic Trail http://maps.google.com/maps?f=d&hl=en&saddr=petersburgh+ny&daddr=Williamstown,+M A+01267&ie=UTF8&om=1 Let me know when /where you are going to be, perhaps I will be able to take a break from working and come and show you around. -Patrick |

Thanks Patrick. I'll be going up this weekend. Leaving on Friday afternoon sometime and going through Elmira and Watkins Glen (probably spend the night in this area), Rt 14 to Rt 104 then onto rt 3 in Mexico to Watertown and stay on 3 into the park. From there, I don't have any plans. If you can break loose that would be great. My wife will also be going, did I mention that? Anyway the general idea is to ride, hike, ride, eat, ride, drink, sleep, repeat. Home sometime on Monday. |

Hi, Just got an XB12X a couple weeks ago, and I live just West of Rome, NY. Discouraged to find that the closest BRAG group is in Binghamton and nothing in Central NY/Mohawk Valley or Adirondack-Tug Hill Areas which are my stomping grounds. Looking to meet other Buellers for rides. |

Doon, good tips to Snub13! Route 51 and 10 are two of my favs. I just did 51 two weeks ago and 10 from Speculator to Cobleskill the week before. Snub, my pc has been down for a while so I missed your trip, you came within a few miles of my house. How was the trip? I make it a must to ride the memorial road up Whiteface mountain on the far side of Lake Placid when I'm there. |

The trip was fantastic! Even with a twelve hour day of rain on Saturday we had a blast! A tip for future use: Don't try to find a room in Lake Placid at the last minuet, the same weekend as an "Iron Man" competition. We had to go all of the way to Keesville and all we found was a "cabin" that was only slightly larger than a jail cell. It did have hot water and a bed, both of which were very welcome. There truly is not a bad road in the whole area. We had an awesome trip. We will have to spend more time on our next visit.
