Where is your favorite place you carry some goodies with you on your bike on a day-to-day basis? (registration, insurance, tools, etc.) Pt. 2: What do you feel you NEED to carry? |

I got one of those "behind the plate" storage boxes for my registration, spare cash, fuses, and such. A Leatherman tool with bits fits under the seat. For longer trips, I made a Buell-specific tool roll for the tank or tail bag. While I always carry a cell phone, having tools is cosmic insurance against breakdowns. |

Oxford Sport Humpback tank bag. That's on almost all the time. For helmets, a Chase Harper seat bag, and for more, an old set of Vetter saddlebags. None match. Always carry, spare gloves, Blue Loctite, paperback book, & a few spare bits. ( headlight bulb, etc. ) |

Little fairing bags for little stuff. Saddlebags for medium stuff (see photo). Roadking for larger stuff. Dodge Ram pick-up for even bigger stuff. AL

I have a tendency to carry a lot of stuff on a regular basis, so I prefer to carry this on the bike instead of me... I have a small tool pouch I carry for my 2 Buells... just stuff it in the tail bag (XB) or saddlebag (S3T). Because my medication cannot get too hot, I keep the rest of my stuff (medication too) in a fanny pack and just drag it with me wherever I go and stuff it in the above mentions places. I prefer to not carry anything in a backpack but, they are not bad if they're not packed too heavy. I was lucky enough to get a free Buell backpack and was quite impressed with the "m/c in mind" design. Much better feel on my back than a std backpack. |

![](http://www.badweatherbikers.com/buell/messages/47623/215803.jpg) Haven't had the bike long enough or travelled far enough to feel the need to carry tools or parts. Anyway I like to take care of maintenance before I head out. |

I use a Backpack with a center "chest" strap. Works great. Last Year My Original Buell Tankbag got stollen with all of my belongings inside. I'm still mad about that one. |

Day to day(like going to wrok, or the store, etc), I use my field bag(back pack), adn for you old school guys, its nothing like the old field bags.. Black, internal frame, hipbelt, chest strap. Very comfortbaly, even wtih about 25-30 lbs of stuff in it, doesnt flop around..has an insulated compartment, for a camel-bak bladder as well... And for longer trips, I have a Tourmaster tank bag... Also, keep a gerber, and a few other odd and ends under my seat.... Chase |
