OK, I've lost two plates on my Uly in the past few weeks. I've never been not able to keep plates attached on other bikes I've had. Even on my two older Sporty's it was not this bad. So how are you guys fastening the plate to the bike. I feel as if there should be a four hole mounting for the plate on the Buell. I can say that the plate always falls off after a long run at 80+ mph. Must be a certain vibration at that speed/rpm that sets up the loosening of plate mounting hardware. Even though at that speed bike really smooths out. Everything else is tight on the bike. So what gives? Now its back to the BMV Monday for another plate. I'm sure they must think I'm selling the plates to a theft ring. David |

loctite... on damn near everything. I figured that out right after my kickstand bolt backed itself out while the bike was warming up one day. |

I'm getting my replacement plate today and I'll be stopping by Lowes. Going to use bolts with nylock nuts. David |

Is it possible that your tail section is a bit loose? My friend's M2 tail got loose and it beat the crap out of his lights and plate hardware. |
